  1. Think about all those wonderful friends you have and those incredible acid trips you used to take?

Imagine a peaceful mountain lake and how much fun it would be to drown your older sister in it?

For Christ's sake folks, this is but a moment of time in your entire life - are you saying that you cannot cope and are looking for chemical relief? Is that how you deal with life in general?

All very sensible to someone with no fear of flying ( a former helicopter pilot, at that ), however, to someone who does, all you can think about is how unnatural flying is and you worry that every little bump will send the plane plumeting to the ground and every minute seems to last an hour... :o

thank you Ulysses, you get it right.

I am a super bad flyer and saddly has to fly often for work... I know my fear is irrational, that I will probably never crash and that flying is the safest way in the world to travel and blablabla... I KNOW that. But it doesn't mean that it makes me feel better.

I try not to take medication, especially for a flight under 6hrs but then I am living a nightmare and the people next to me are dragged into it too. So instead of bothering everyone with my problem, I'd rather take pills and dozze off in my little corner, hoping that I will get a few hours of sleep and relief...

  2. The Irish Xchange was the first bar I stopped by when I first arrived in Bangkok. And for the last (almost) 4 years, it has been like a second home to me. I will miss it a lot. However, if the staff remains the same, then, I will happily come back as they make a great difference with other pubs!

    cheers :o

  3. welcome sleepybeau. And sego (now you seem familiar :D )

    thanks Boo...

Yeah, my name is a bit familiar. Been on this forum for more than 2 years... Was just turning 24 at the time i signed :o .

spend more time reading the threads than posting... Don't have much to say anyway... :D

  4. Thanks for the answer, Patrick.

I went to the Polo Club on sunday night. It is exactly as you describe it.

I have been a bit disapointed with the bar. I expected something more cosy.

Didn't have dinner there, so I can't comment the food.

I haven't found in love with the place, at first sight. I don't think if it's the kind of a place I would be comfortable in.

  5. Thanks for your answer.

It sounds like a place I am comfortable in :o

I will give it a try next time I go to Pattaya.

Actually I was looking for information about the Bangkok Polo club but I wasn't precise about it.

    Still no clue about it?

  6. I found the Indian restaurant at Rembrandt too noisy and expensive.

I loved this place called "Malaysia Auntie" but it seems that it has disapeared. It was the best indian food i ever had - especially the naans :o

It has been replaced by another Indian restaurant that I am going to try very soon.

    Feedback within a week!

I forgot to say that the restaurant I am talking about is situated on sukhumvit soi 8.

20m into the soi and first left.

  7. I forgot to say that I went to the egyptian restaurant which is next door of the ethiopian restaurant Bath&Sold mentionned.

It was really good and cheap.

Altough, if anyone is looking for Kebab, I recommend the stalls, sukhumvit soi 3.

    The best in town!

50thB for an orgasmic bite... :o

  8. In the Irish pub last night.

The singer (american guy) was asking if anyone had a request. So I stood up and told him my request.

He looked at me in a strange way and said aloud in the micro : "What? you want a BITCHES song?"

People started to laugh. I said again my request.

The singer couldn't understand it. People were laughing louder and I was feeling hot and sweaty.

Finally, my american friend came out to help me and said : "no, she is only requesting for a BEE GEES song. Excuse her accent, she is French...."

    :o

  9. I have been proposed once 2000 Thb, by 3 Thai men, "just to watch", they said

    I ran away.

But it let me wondering how much I would have been offered "just to do" :o

I think you would have been raped and not received a single baht. A female Thai friend of mine went to a business networking evening at a big hotel last year and met a friendly Thai guy in the same line of business. After meeting finished they had a drink in the bar and the guy - getting friendlier and friendlier by the minute -proposed to book a room at the hotel so he could "just look at her." She got rid of the creep fast after that, but you can see where it was heading - if a female goes willingly to a hotel with a guy it's going to be difficult to tell the police later it was rape.

I would never follow a man who offers me money "just to look" or whatever else.

    Either Thai or european national.
