There is way way way more to this story than what has been reported. Indeed all the reporting seems in direct favour of the plaintiff with no evidence (in the report) of the so called plan to kidnap anyone. I can make a number of plausible guesses as to what is going on but let’s wait and see.

Does he mean like all Thai Hi-So’s do when they stuff up for far far far worse? A Thai is granted equal justice under the law in most civilised western countries but it’s clear you can’t expect the same in return. Not that I think the accused doesn’t deserve punishment but this is clearly turning into a lynch mob not dissimilar to the days of the KKK minus the sheets.

All these news outlets are scrapping the bottom of the barrel trying to get these “bad farang” news clips since the A-hole down in Phuket kicked the Thai Doctor. Both these incidents and the others reported are all foreigners who are behaving badly but there are far far more who do not and go out of there way to put up misbehaving and extortionist Thais who, in my experience, are in the vast majority. Where have all the stories gone of gangs of thais beating up foreigners? Seems to be a very nasty xenophobic witch hunt against foreigners recently at the exclusion of other news. If it’s that bad please stop all foreigners entering the kingdom. I dare you! I would have thought that the economic ruin for most that the covid knee jerk and subsequent closure of borders caused would have been a lesson, seems not. Media please stop whining and gaslighting the very few misbehaving drunk or idiotic foreigners who come to Thailand. The vast majority respect and appreciate Thai culture and the differences it offers.🙏🏻

It's not going to last. The wave of tourism after COVID was to be expected and all the airlines are cashing in on the bonanza. Many of the airlines that flew to Thailand have either not yet started up or if the have they are not anywhere near the amount of flights pre COVID. Cathay for instance ditched it regional airline Dragon Air completely retrenching pilots and staff and selling off aircraft. Thai air buying new aircraft is a good sign as it means increased flights and if they are doing it so is everyone else which will translate into an over supply and competition which will result in lower fares. Unless they come up with another pandemic but hopefully the majority of people will have learned from the first one but I ain't hopeful on that front.

You know I have read some some reports here that have been made me think of humanity in less than a positive light but this C**t takes the cake with being the lowest of the low! Nothing in this story adds up or makes any sense. He hasn’t actually been diagnosed with anything and has had numerous blood transfusions, something I personally would not want to be having in Thailand and especially Phuket! Government hospitals are not supposed to be as expensive as private hospitals so it’s very unclear how a 10 day stay in a communal ward with a blood transfusion could end up costing 400K baht! The reporter has not bothered to investigate and find out why that is before presenting it here. Who’s exactly suspects Leukaemia? The friends? His bed is blood soaked…well he is having daily blood transfusions. Leukaemia can be very easily misdiagnosed both ways and there are innumerable types. This is so badly reported and in my opinion skewered to look worse than it probably is to elicit sympathy for the donations and provide click bait on here. “The situation worsens as Penson anticipates another visit to A&E upon his return, piling on more financial woes.” A&E in the UK and any subsequent treatment is free in the UK so how is that piling on more financial woes. He must of had a return ticket to the UK, just reschedule your flight and you are in all the care that you will need free of charge.

I am pretty sure in Thailand if he choose to walk out without paying the police would be around to pick home up or detained at the airport until payment was settled. This is not the UK.
