  1. yes the taxi mafia are very helpful, if you want spend 800 b to go to your hotel, with a stop at 7 11, distance 2 kms, never set foot in that place again, rather shave my head with a cheese grater.
  2. Glad to let you know, my next mystery will be how long is the letter from my embassy confirming pension income going to be valid for, it was 30 days, or more, sometimes??
  3. Is Jomtien a 30 or 45 day office, and yes I was able, as I have renewed , many times, as much a 6 months early, this was 18 years ago though, and I had heard they stopped this practice, hence my question now.
  4. Renew 1 year extension of stay based on retirement, my present extension expires may 23, must I wait until within 45 days to renew it, used to be able to renew much earlier, can someone confirm the 45 day restriction? Tyia.
  5. So getting a 1 year extension does not reset the 90 day period, only entering the country and making a 90 day report will start the 90 day period at day 1?
  6. Registered, got my email with password in 30 seconds, wow, now am wondering if I need to do a 90 day report if i renew my 1 year extension of stay during my 90 days? does the 90 day period go to zero, like when you leave the Kingdom, and then re enter?
  7. Thank you, I just found a lengthy explanation , with pictures of non o a and extention of stay, they both serve the same purpose, the non o-a is much more difficult to get in your own country, will visit Jomtien tomorrow, thanks again.
  8. I am here on a non o visa, family of thai national, the extension of stay, based on retirement, is what i am wanting to to get, so I will need insurance?
  9. Thanks for that clarification, I have the letter, have not applied for an extension of stay, aka retirement visa for a few years now, what was required, last I did this, was , the letter, bank book, letter from the bank with the balance, same day preferred, although never was sure why they want to see that??, and 1800 baht, with 3800 more for multiple entry, now I am hearing about insurance?? is this now required? anything they have added to the requirements, as I said, its been 3 years since i have gotten an extension, thanks in advance, Al.
