How does this new policy compared with the Elite card?
With the elite card you kiss your money good-bye. But it's much more easier to obtain.
e.i. 1 Mil. THB gets you a 20 years Visa. Renewable every 5 years. Still you have to do 90 days reporting.
-
For a 90 day visa or 1 year extension both require a deposit of 400,000 baht. That's what the agent said.
But I could not do that and now that 90 day visa is expired. So have to start the complete process again. This time the 400k are secured in the account.
-
That is correct.
I need to wait one more month than I can proof the 400,000 baht deposit for two month on my account.
But that's not an issue now that I have a 30 day entry stamp. Just have to wait.
-
Just a quick update. I got a 30 entry stamp without having to show a return ticket.
This will give me enough time to wait out my Non-O Thai Wife Visa application.
Cheers

Thanks ubonjoe. Much appreciated your advice.

The Visa Agent just told me that because My Re-Entry permit AND my Non-O Visa are both expire on May 14th I can not get a extension of stay but 7 days only.
Is that true?
What you mean by proof of residence? Documents from the Landlord?
-
Ok I will try that. Thank you.

ubonjoe, The income letter is not an option for me. I deposited the 400,000k last month and now have to past the time.
Are you sure I can get a 60 day extension on my current Visa? Can you link me to any information on the Web in how to apply etc?
Thanks.
-
The Visa Agent told me that for the 1 year extension I have to show 400,000 Baht in an account for 2 month. But I can show only 1 month.
So I will ask them to get me a 60 days extension?

This is/was not a 1 year visa but a 90 days Multi entry only. So the Visa expire on May 14th.
My worry is that I will get only 9 days of stay in Thailand.

Hi,
When I left Bangkok on April 18th my Visa got not transferred into my new passport but a stamp and note only. I didn't want it to be transferred because it will expire anyway in 2 weeks so whats the point.
So my Non-Immi 0 Thai Wife Visa will expire on May 14th but arriving in Bangkok on May 5th do I get 30 days entry stamp or only 9 days with this notification in my passport? (see pictures)
I am a bit confused right now.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers

Ok and what about the other documents like Work permit, Residency Certificate, Alien Registration?
I am just renting that condo and I am employed by a foreign company not working in Thailand.
-
Thanks ubonjoe.
So all I need is a filled out application, 2 pictures and 2,000 Baht and that's it???? + Bankbook, Married certificate and Wife's ID card and my passport?
But what about this house registration? I just renting a condominium.
What is a residency certificate? Alien registration? Work permit? I don't have all these.

Correct, Non-O Wife Visa issued in Bangkok. Not in a Thai Embassy abroad. They told me it has to lay in the account for 3 month.
Which is not a problem. I just concern about the air ticket. I definitely will fly somewhere within the 30 days but not sure when and where to. But if I just need to show a little cash that is not an issue for me.

Hi there,
For the first time in many years I will travel to Bangkok next week without any visa. The reason is that I need to wait 3 Month to show the 400,000 Baht for Marriage Visa which I deposited in a Bank account in April.
I do not need a visa on arrival. So my guess is that I will just get a 30 day stamp, correct? Is there any requirements or documents I have to present to the Immigration officer? Is it true that I need a return ticket to show?
Or will it be good enough just to fill out the departure card?
If you have any advice that you can give me it is much appreciated.
Thank you

I love my life on Sukhumvit. I could never move to the upcountry side. To boring.

SuperSports have size US13 but only for new arrivals for a short time. So you have to be lucky.
Also the 2 sneaker stores in MBK have it. Yes original, not fake. (Ground/Taxi Floor and I believe 2nd Floor)
-
I accept the high prices for sneakers because I do not have much choices. My size is US13.
Mostly only new arrivals have that size available for short period.

I keep it for the Wife. She prefers Thai-Subs and of course here Soap opera.
But for myself rarely watching anything. For good Movies I still prefer to go to a Cinema.
They not even show the latest US-Sitcoms to have a good laugh.
I wish we could get Sky as a cable TV.

Hello,
Quick question: How many 30 day entry stamps can one collect in a 12 Month period entering at Suvarnabhumi Airport by Air?
German passport holder. No visa. Business Traveler - flying every 2-3 weeks in and out of Thailand.
Thanks
