I know two people hospitalized last week with what they are calling "influenza virus A" if that makes sense to anyone. Severe respiratory symptoms, both on oxygen and respiratory therapy, very high fever....
O.K. I just looked up virus A and I guess it is what they refer to as "bird flu". Type A influenza infection can be serious and cause widespread outbreaks and disease.
Yeah, know of another person this week too.

Booking into a hotel will get you a TM.30 for that address for that time your there, that's it. I would simple be honest with the landlord and say you will have no other choice but to explain to immigration your landlord refused so either can they do it or allow you to move out and return the deposit.

Why does anyone use the 800K baht for retirement anymore. The new 65K for income method is way easier. Just transfer 65K baht every month. Then withdraw and send it back overseas and repeat.
What method/company do you use to transfer? That is a lot on fees transferring standard through normal bank channels?

Thai Elite would be the way I go.

I have to agree I don't think it looks like them. Different colour hair for a start and I may be mistaken but a dark skirt where in the graphic pictures that I don't want to re check it was light coloured. This is the picture of them that has been released, is it me or does this not look like them?.....This looks like a Westerner and a Thai....look at the difference in body sizes and the colour of her hair?

It looks like they have a full sports schedule vis their website. I was there today a cth was being installed. Manager said it took cth 3 weeks to come out there to hook it up. They also got Leo pints 90 thb
Now that's more like it, a beer on draught (I assume) at a reasonable price, loads of sport... heading in the right direction. Might even head up there this weekend.
If it applies the same rules as its sister bar in Bangkok, the beer at 90 or 100 baht will apply only to "happy hour" which from memory is 4pm to 6pm monday to friday! In other words, at exactly the times when theres no sport live on TV. !!! Then it will revert to minimum price 150 a pint !!
No from the post of the Facebook page it says "all of the time".
I for one am happy to see that price for a beer.

It'll be Suarez and Hazard.
Agree with you Stevie.
In my opinion:
Suarez, Yaya, Gerrard
Hazard, then could be any in my opinion.
All done very well. Perhaps Sterling hasn't done enough the whole season as could be said for Ramsey through injury.

shortlists are out.
PFA player of the year shortlist: Gerrard, Hazard, Lallana, Sturridge, Suárez and Touré
PFA Young Player of the Year shortlist: Barkley, Hazard, Ramsey, Shaw, Sterling, Sturridge
That look like Liverpool's player and young player of the year to me!!

I think Stevie G should be in the running for 2nd or 3rd.
-
Ok, what about Young Player of the Year?

Sorry to here that. RIP Cookie.

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.
I realize my post has given you the impression that my mom has passed on. She didn't.
IMHO, it's worse. She got a stroke, causing paralysis on her right side and she can't speak, not even make a sound. She can't feed herself or even wash herself, she never will be able to return home. Back to babyhood, but with consciousness of an adult with decennia of full life. Prognosis is not good at all.
This is suffering, for both my mom and dad who have been together for more than 60 years, real suffering.
It's something one doesn't wish to happen to his/her worst enemy, imo.
Thoughts are with you and your family at this extremely difficult time Nienke.

There is another one called The Ark. Not sure where they are located though. Sorry I don't have more details than that.
I wish you all the best in your search and sure you will find what you are looking for, there are far too many out there.

According to the officials, the eviction of bad spirits will prevent future accident and help boost the morale of motorists.
This is a very risky approach that could easily back-fire.
What if the number of deaths rises significantly compared with other years?
What will these officials say then?
Nothing I imagine!
It will just be put down the bad karma like everything else.

Yep.....Last season, a Cardiff player fluked one from his own half. Tan advised Malky this year that if they shot more often from their own half, they would be higher up the table!
As regards the red kit, this weekend, the soft <deleted> actually requested that LFC change kits so Cardiff could play in their lucky red kit. His reasoning apparently is that they have better home results than away! Therefore it is the red strip that is responsible!!!! You really couldn't make this guy up!!!
Brilliant!
I bet he can't understand why his requests are not be adhered too!
-
Trying to run things like he would in his own country. It might work there but it won't work at the top level in the UK in my opinion.

A couple from our esteemed Malaysian friend to his long suffering manager:
"Our players do not shoot from our own half. They should do it more often"
and
"please ensure we always wear our red kit away from home"
"
Really?

"what salesman/saleswoman would do all this in another country at no extra cost and with the kindness of their heart, which is Thailands way!"
I'm thinking "the kindness of their heart" involved a "big commission" that they forgot to mention.
After a while you come to recognise the scamming, but I agree the honeymoon period (where you pay double for everything without knowing) is great.
No! This was a department store where there is no bartering, so I paid the going price and was not scammed.
Perfect Homes is a department store??
Are you sure?
No, it is an estate agent. What estate agent would help me connect a phone, connect internet, fetch me miles away from town when a taxi driver got lost AFTER having had their commission for the condo? They even put themselves out to help me find the equipment I needed for the condo AFTER having had their commission for the condo.
This is proof enough that they are selfless and only thought of my welfare. I am a total stranger to them - even my family never did such things for me.
I too have had nothing but positive experiences from dealing with perfect homes.
I was going to say exactly the same, everything extra that was stated was done after they would have got their commission from the owner, they didn't have to that 'extra mile'. Estate agents get some stick, so nice to see Perfect Homes getting some nice recognition, incidentally think they have had good feedback in a few other threads so they must be doing something right!

Should I tell another Farang man that the Thai girlfriend he loves is cheating on him?

I would tell the guy aslong as you have definitive proof you can send him and are out of the way from the backlash that will surely come from her.
