Also at Home Pro, same price with the same offer of one extra filter.

I believe hatari one does not have a HEPA filter. Iam after one that does. It should help with my allergies.

False the Hatari one does have a HEPA filter.

It in fact is a rather large filteer compared to many of the much more expensive models. I have 2 fitted in my house as I have a severe lung condition and can fully recomend them. I have had mine for 4 years running 24 hrs a day and generally change the filter twice a year.. Once before the smoke season and once after..They are readily available for round 600 baht each.

The filters for the new model go for 888 baht now. Not sure if they're different than yours (size, not quality)

The only reason I can see for buying the more expensive imported models, is if you're planning to place it in the window to impress the neighbours. It's a fan in a box, with a filter on the front coffee1.gif

  2. Not that surprising. There are companies advertising packages that make this route simpler. They even provide the accommodation and 'economic activity'! Clearly this is misuse of the immigration rules.

It makes a nonsense of the obstacles people face doing the thing by the rules. They just need to make the rules a bit fairer and allow some flexibility then Surinder Singh would just go away naturally.

Sad that they seem to consider a non-EU spouse to be such a problem when it is EU citizens that make up the bulk of immigration numbers.

And a drain on welfare benefits!

  3. Brief downpour, cleared for about an hour, now another windy downpour. I don't mind the rain and appreciate a return to the cool season, but I feel sorry for the CMU graduates and their families. I hope they enjoy the occasion in spite of the weather.

Some sacrifices are worth it thumbsup.gif

  4. What if, the child's expired passport shows the child as a baby or 1 year old, & now the child is say 10 years old? How do you prove the child is the same as in the passport?

The name in the Thai passport will be the same.

    Doh!

Also, the UK only issues kids passports with a maximum validity of 5 years (versus 10 years for adults) due to the fact that infants and kids grow up and change more rapidly.

    (Boy... do they ever!)

I know that, but my son's passport expired when he was 6. Have only just renewed it. He hasn't needed a UK passport for a few years. Interesting to know, he could've travelled to UK, before renewal.

  5. The type of road bike that might suit the riding you a looking for is probably going to be cyclocross/gravel or endurance road.

CX and gravel will have wider tyres than the normal road bike (between 28-32mm).

If you like disk brakes as well then these are also available, you can look at Specialized Roubaix, Giant Defy/TCX/Anyroad or Trek Domane or even Pinarello FCX. There is something in almost every budget range ;-)

The giant Anyroad also comes with the brake extensions you asked about, at least they did on the 2014/15 models, but personally I think they look a bit weird (the bike not the brake extensions).

With CX bikes the gearing will be lower as well, so more like an MTB to help you spin up those hills.

    Lots of choice, happy hunting!

Fuji have a model with disc brakes, too.

  6. Then this old Thai man steps up for the test, the tester points at the colours,

but the man says he cannot see the board, never mind the colours,so he's

lead away by one of the staff, for re-education I thought, along the lines of

Your too old to drive and are half blind,go home. BUT no, half an hour later,

before anyones number is called,I see him be lead into the photo area, and

coming out again with a new license (agents?),I just hope I never meet him on the road,

and little wonder this is the second most dangerous countries for road accidents.

    regards worgeordie

Songteau driver? No problem, drives around the moat straddling the white lines, blocking everybody at 5 kph. No danger to anybody w00t.gif
