  1. Rolling Stones support Pattaya appeal video screenshot The Rolling Stones lent their support this week to a Pattaya, Thailand based fund that is run by local local English Language radio station Fabulous 103fm. The station is working as a supply bank for food, handed out to those cooking for those thousands of unemployed in the region queuing daily as a result of Covid 19's effect on the region, and zero tourism. As Pattaya is a centre of tourism, so it has quickly become a Ghost town, which is the name of the song the Stones agreed that the radio station could use in their latest video appeal which releases this week The Fabulous 103fm team created the video and Suzi Quatro kindly offered to introduce it A previous video appeal by the same station saw Emperor Rosko introduce Pete Doherty & the Libertines haunting melody and the fund to date has bought and given out some 650,000 baht in supplies For more details please email sawadeetom [at] gmail.com or call 0800 724609 -- FABULOUS 103FM 2020 05-18
  2. Customer’s COVID-19 screening at 7-Eleven goes horribly wrong If you have visited a supermarket or even your local 7-Eleven in recent weeks, you will no doubt have had your temperature taken and been given hand sanitizer as part of the measures introduced to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, what should have been a now routine screening for COVID-19 went horribly wrong for one unlucky woman in Thailand. A video shared to Facebook shows the moment a dozy 7-Eleven staffer, rather than taking the woman’s temperature, accidentally sprays alcohol hand sanitiser in the eye of an unsuspecting customer as she tries to enter the store. Immediately realising her mistake, the staffer consoles the woman, who appears to be in a considerable amount of pain. The video was shared to Facebook on Friday afternoon and had already been shared more than 15,000 times in just a few hours. The condition of the woman is not known. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2020-05-15 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
