There should be no question as to where the money comes from: The Mandalay Hotel and the concert promoters for failing to maintain a safe environment. The Mandalay allows a guy to stay in a room with 10 rifles and ammo for 2 weeks and then kill 58 people and shoot hundreds more....the CEO ought to be checking his policy about now.

I agree with you regarding the hotel - their security seems to be at fault for allowing such a stockpile of armoury to get into the hotel, but just what has it got to do with the concert promoters?

They also have a legal responsibility for security and keeping customers safe...I know out of their control...but that's why they are required to buy big insurance policies before getting approval for such an event.

Nevada has very lax gun laws. Many gun nuts migrate there so they can play with their toys.

 

IMHO, a sure sign of trouble is the number of guns owned by the individual and the amount of ammunition acquired. It appears to be a pattern for these mass-shooters to carry more "heat" than they really need (this guy had 10 guns in the hotel room) and usually 1000s of rounds in personal possession.

In those 3 days I would bet the maid cleaned the room and failed to notice 10 rilfes ? And if she did not gain entry because of do not disturb signs...then security should have been notified as resident's safety in question for 3 days.

I am guessing that he most likely had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign up, or if the maid was allowed in, he was present at the time and made sure his stash of guns and ammo was out of site.   A closed closet would be sufficient.  

 

Considering the number of people who golf, it would be quite possible to sneak it in in a golf bag, especially over a few day period.

I do think so yes.

I did know some people from my childhood who became priests, we don't have contacts anymore, I think they are nuts.
One wears old-fashioned priest dress and speaks latin. His sect has been excluded from the official Catholic Church.

The other is just a "normal priest", but any discussion always ends with the argument of his "belief", so there is nothing to talk about.
