rooster59
Pimai museum in Nakhon Ratchasima on flood alert By The Nation The director of Pimai National Museum in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Chutima Chanthes, has ordered officials and workers to monitor the rising Mul River and pile up 2,000 sandbags to bolster the 40cm-high rock barriers in a bid to prevent flooding on Friday. The Mul River level near the museum was still 50cm short of bursting the riverbanks, although the river’s other sections had already overflowed, inundating several tambons in Pimai district. It was reported that 4,000 rai of farmlands and many road sections in Tambon Nai Muang and Tambon Bot were under 30cm-deep floodwater. The overflowing Mul River also inundated several low-lying homes in Wang Burapha community in Tambon Pimai.
