they were police officers and they kick the person of the bike i would say reckless driving ..

The guy was fleeing from the police and ignoring lawful requests from a uniformed officer to stop.

Had he been in some other counties he'd have been shot off!

Looks like they were in  pursuit and he wasn't complying to stop so they resorted to stopping him the only way left

They could have shot him but they are gentlemen, and as we all know shooting someone in the back is not gentlemanly!

It is also possible that the driver was on his way to the hospital because he was suffering from a heart attack and stopping would be fatal. Our he was bringing medicine his child needed to receive in the next five minutes to save his life. Or a thousand other extenuating reasons. At this point we don't know. The policeman also did not know the reason for not immediately stopping and yet felt he had three right to kill the driver (since that obviously would always be a potential result of a high-speed crash.)

It is NOT ok for police to use more force than necessary to enforce ANY law. Would you say it would be ok for a policeman to fire a bullet into your brain because you dropped a chewing gum wrapper?

This kind of thinker can potentially cause many other accidents or even fatalities with the their stupid actions to avoid, at best, extortion or, at worst, a term of imprisonment and at what risk? Me or someone I care about hospitalised or killed?

kick the <deleted> of the bike at the first possible convenience IMO. Lessen the impact on any other poor innocent bugger.

Well done by the police. The guy got a few bruices, so what? He was lucky not to take a bullitt or 3  :clap2:

In the big picture, police acting like criminals is part of the problem, not the solution.

hmmm; guess then it is somehow ok if the rider of the fallen bike is injured or killed

Tough titties if he failed to stop for the Police or had committed a crime!

But to date we really do not know the reason for the incident. So perhaps we should withhold our comments. My reply was made in respect of the poster's comment.

That is attempted murder!

You should see them grabbing and swinging and bikers ON THE HIGHWAY in Chiang Mai. Nothing like going full speed and have them run in front of you grabbing it hitting at your arms if you’re not stopping fast enough for them.

Scumbags, all.

Are you sure kicking him off the bike was the only way left?

They could have continued to pursue him until he got ever more desperate and caused an accident which killed an innocent person.

I thought the whole point of traffic police was to prevent such things without attempting to kill those they are pursuing.
