A 48-year-old American divorcee, who is reportedly homeless and broke, captured the heart of a Thai woman half his age, albeit at a price he might not be able to afford in the long run.

The story of David Toborowsky and Chanoknat Angel Suwan was recently featured in the episode “Welcome to Real Life” of the TLC reality show about international romances called “90 Day Fiance”.

David had just lost his job, house, and recently recovered from a stroke when he went to Thailand in 2016, hoping to rebuild his life with a new romantic adventure. There, he met Annie, a 24-year-old bar singer who would soon be his fiancée.

According to People, the couple got engaged after dating for only 10 days.

"David also had to buy two water buffalos as a gift for Annie’s parents."
Because where there is no water buffalo no water buffalo can get seriously sick ...
Great events seem to throw their shadows ahead ...

A bit of polite advice to him.

<deleted> her off right now ! :hit-the-fan:

Why? It's not like he's going to get any better, is it?

Look the geezer's 48, he's no matinee idol and he hasn't got a pot to piss in so he's well out of his depth.......even with a fiancee who's a definite 3/10

Why would anyone expect a young Thai woman to genuinely fall in love with a man twice her age, who she can't communicate with possessed of man boobs and a beer gut to match if not for money?

People are advising the guy to run when, to be fair, they should be reserving that advice for the girl.

Little did David know that in order to get Annie’s parents’ approval, he would have to honor certain Thai traditions, which he claimed would eventually eat up the rest of his savings. Aside from giving Annie’s family $1,500 as dowry, David also had to buy two water buffalos as a gift for Annie’s parents.

He doesn't have to buy two buffaloes, as he seems to be one. Get a bargirl and live the dream? Do they not have IRON buffaloes that only drink when used?

Holy buffalo ! What's his TVF username? Some new posts regarding visa, then overstay and certain questions on how to make money will soon be flooding the news.

Girl you thought he was a man, but he was a muffin.

He hung around till you found that he didn't know nothing.

Girl, you thought it was a man, but he only was a puffin.

No cries is heard in the night as a result of him stuffin'...

F.Zappa- The Muffin man from A.......

If he can give me 11 ( 1 plus 1) BAHT, it's sooo perfect !! I couldn't stop laughing for an hour. :shock1::smile:

A "Reality" TV invention.

Who knows what's real and what's scripted, how broke/rich anyone is and what gets paid for by the producers?

“Yes, the awkward scene of Chris asking for a massage was SCRIPTED,” Nikki wrote. “The producer asked him to say it & Chris had to say it more than once because it didn’t come off as natural.”

Chris and Nikki also revealed that David made about $1,000 per episode of the reality show, and was paid $2,500 to appear in the tell-all. Chris also reportedly hired David, a.k.a. “Tobo the cheap-ass friend”, to work for his travel company called Fantasy Thailand.

There is no "substance" to comment upon.
