Work on many different bikes when once in my lifetime was a motorbike mechanic that's how I got to ride so many different bikes. In UK the last ordinary bikes I had was a Triumph boni and a CB750. The CB750 was classed as the first Superbike. Sportsbikes were my interest but nothing did it for me until the first Supersport class bike came the Blade which came in 1992 as most bikers know changed history. It changed me to, nothing else is satisfying after racing at track days, the Blade had a great run for 6 years by then other manufacturers were getting there act together. ???? The clips on is one of the things I've changed to wider street bike handlebars which I find better for Thailand. Changed gear lever link to racing change which I'm use to. Many parts are no longer made so have made compromises on radiator and hoses and other bits and pieces. Chucked out all the California rubbish that's required there and lightened the bikes weight. Also modified the airfilter system. Dynojetted the carbs. The Rear and 130/16 front Avon tyres I managed to get in Bangkok which have a great feel. Kwasaki Posted August 28, 2022 Share Posted August 28, 2022 70 kilo around trip today on fast bend roads mainly so a lot of back brake use for scrubbing speed, no cornering ABS on my bike, some slippery corners using front brake would take me down. Kwasaki Posted September 22, 2022 Share Posted September 22, 2022 Didn't do anything with my bike today only thought about my youngest son is coming to Thailand again first time since Covid looking forward to him riding my Blade the last time he rode a Blade in Thailand was way back in 2006 when he was 17 something he couldn't do in UK. It was a tame 1000cc Blade in Pattaya compared to the earlier 900 Blade. He always sat on the Blade I had in UK which is same as I have here now but was to young to ride it. It's good to hear. Sadly, it's very different here in Pattaya. When my Ducati is due for inspection, I insert the DB killers into my Termignonies but it still too loud they say. Go back to the Honda dealership and complain. Dealer is in Bangkok and I am 500 km away. I will most likely get the owner of the local village bike shop to sort it out. Mine reads about 85 db on my phone app and apparently that's high but OK for large engine bikes it's exceptable as I was told by the owner of the test place last year.
