webfact
One arrest, four others sought in slaying of family in Prachuap Picture: Sanook Region 7 police have announced the arrest of one man in the slaughter of an entire family on Tuesday evening. Four people were slashed to death with a knife and scythe over a debt that was not repaid. One of the victims was a five year old girl. Top brass from HQ arrived in the remote area of Bang Saphan Noi near the Burmese border by helicopter to meet regarding the search for the murderers. One man called Daeng is now in custody. He is a member of the Mon ethnic group. The cops said that the slain family members were drinking with five men on a large stone table outside some lodgings for rubber workers. An argument broke out over loaned money that had not been returned. The family were chased about and into bedrooms where they had their necks slashed. A five year old girl ran out in terror and was hacked down. Police have a good idea of the identity of all the suspects, reported Sanook, as the hunt for four more men goes on.
