Chiangmai-Vientiane direct flight

Hi there, anyone knows off-hand whether there is any direct flight from Chiangmai to Vientiane....thanks..

As far as I know there are no flights to from Chiang Mai to Vientiane.

You can get a flight to Udon Thani and then take a van from the airport to the bridge in Nong Khai.

No. Lao Airlines flies from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang, but travelers flying into Vientiane must usually pass through Bangkok. A reasonable alternative is to fly to Udon Thani (less than an hour from the Friendship Bridge at Nong Khai) and enter Vientiane by land.
