WilliamCave
Hello, Is it possible for me to put a business in my kids name, they were born in thailand to a thai women(wife). The reason I am asking for advice is if something ever happens to her I would be afraid that family members would walk in and take everything from us. I am very leary of one of her brothers and do not trust him. Does any body have experience how I can protect my self with my home and business I am strarting up in thailand. monty
You cannot have minors incorporating a business, but once the company is registered, you can transfer shares to your children without problems....
WilliamCave
Thanks Monty. So in doing could they control and own 100% of the shares. Then with me being the legal guardian I would be better protected. And as for my house any suggestions? I am looking at buying in a new housing development as to building. Chang_paarp
There was a discussion along this line here http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78581 That thread is about property, but the principals are similar to business registration. The idea is to protect the kids from averous relatives. There was a thread on this section too but it will take more effort to find it. Edit Found it! Look here http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95096 thread title; "Can Children Be Shareholders In A Limited Company?, Any restrictions?"
