Marriage Docments…translations

Recommended Posts

I’m getting finally married and I have just started with the “paper-work”. Since every document has to be translated I was wondering if it is possible to do this by myself. Before somebody asks…”yes, I have the qualifications needed to do a proper job, sometimes I work even as a freelance-translator for a web-based translation service (German/Thai)”. My question is, does the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand authenticate translations done by an individual or must it be a translation done (or at least “stamped”) by some appointed agency?

I know I’m a little late, but on this occasion I would like to wish to all of you a very Happy New Year!

Thank You! :o

Unless things have changed in the last decade (which is possible) it must have a registered translation service/lawyer stamp. At the time I went they were turning back anyone without such a seal and a number of expeditor's were available outside to make a quick runs to obtain such certification stamp.
