The do it in America as well. In a city where I worked it was illegal for bars who had legal sidewalk tables and chairs to use sun umbrellas with beer brand advertising. Crime is money. If not enough money, make more things a crime. The drug war is a perfect example of this. It's got zero to do with helping the public...Everything to do with money and power. The public has been brainwashed since the 60's. See Portugal for an excellent example of how it SHOULD be done.
worgeordie
The Government seems determined to suck the fun out of everything, no wonder the population are getting so angry,so many road rage incidents, they are afraid beer adverts will encourage people to drink, as if people did not have a mind of the own,to make choices, wonder wha they will clamp down on next. regards worgeordie

phetpeter
If the 'Boss' has got any sense, he should bring in all these idiots and inform them to stop being prats. This is why Thailand keeps having the generals take over, The holier than thou, sit in their padded clouds and because their lives are empty and pointless like a thief in a gold vault with everything he always wanted and has , but nowhere to go. Their minds started deciding on things that make them jealous of not being able or cannot do because they don't know how! Is the Boss up there or is he able to stop these people before they really cause the problems to enlarge. the country has to restart again! phetpeter
Lets not put all the blame on the Boss, We have all worked for bosses who meant good, But behind his back his underlings, create their own little kingdoms and mess up everything, perhaps he just cannot see what they are doing, or is not being told the full information, and his right hand people aren't keeping an eye on the balls either? terryofcrete
Unfortunately , and as much as I love Thailand for many many visits , development is a hit and miss thing everywhere. There is no consistency. Wonderful shopping Malls beside side streets where it is a miracle that people are not killed every day by the lack of safe pathways . Rats running around food stalls and open fronted restaurants as If they were in charge. , third world and first world all mashed up together. Pedestrian crossings .... what ! It is fun to dodge the cars first and then the bikes that you will not see until it is ... . But, do not smoke on the beach , in the open air, just go to bar across the road where someone is eating and the person next to him is puffing away away on a real cigarette... the safe ones, electronic, are bannned. It is as if there is a defiant streak in the authorities that states we have the right to be Stupid... do not ask questions !
