Dash cam footage at a Chiang Mai intersection on Thursday showed several people have a remarkable escape from death.

The footage - posted on the page of Nong GT on Facebook - showed a 6 wheel truck crash onto its side at the crossroads and careen into a pole at the red lights.

Two motorcyclists appear to see impending doom but there is little time to act.

One woman is seen running from her bike after the luckiest of near misses.

Several men in the back of a pick-up can also count themselves very fortunate that the truck did not continue further into the traffic waiting at the lights.

Thai Rath said that the accident happened at the Louis intersection in Sankamphaeng, Chiang Mai about 5.50pm on Thursday evening.

There were no other details in their report.

Things will never change with stupid, irresponsible headlines like this. Just feeding the fire.
