Do you consider Breitbart or The National Enquirer a "newspaper"?

Then I pass, thank you!

And by the way: you are making claims, so you back them up!

It's not my obligation to verify your BS!

You really need to get out more or buy a t.v. to see what effect that immigration is having on European countries crime rates . There have been documentaries on the subject and BBC Question Time has often debated it . Some eastern block countries e.g. Romania , their citizens are brought up where crime is rife and carry it on to their new mother land . Half of the Romanian citizens have been arrested at least once at some time in their life .They are highly skilled pick pockets and shop lifters , those being their base crime .

What are you on about?

Romania is part of the European Union, has NOTHING to do with refugees and pickpocketing and shop- lifting are not violent crimes!

Does the lack of oxygen influence your "brain"?

Immigrants , asylum seekers , EU economic immigrants , so called refugees are all the same to me and many others of a similar opinion , you can dress it up as much as you want and even the article mentions immigrants . Reference to Romanian criminology to demonstrate the basic illegal talents imported to European countries and in common use . The violent crimes are committed by the whole range of immigrants . You need to take off your blinkers , open new horizons and expand your brain as you are out of touch .   Are you related to Angela Merkel  ?

The predominantly young male majority of refugees live in Germany without partners, mothers, sisters or other females whom the study sees as a "violence-preventing, civilising force."

Sooooo, the answer is more refugees, not deporting the criminal ones or putting them in jail for their crimes.

Surely we are seeing the ruling classes having a brain seizure as they try and get out of taking responsibility for the problems that they caused in the first place.

Is there any country where violent crime is NOT rising?

In Germany it was always the gast (guest) arbiteren as in Turks  who were blamed.  Today Syrians and other refugees.

America blames mostly illegal Mexicans.

We all need to blame somebody it seems.

let's see how the liberals defend this "unexpected" turn of events.

only punishment for those criminals is repatriation. no reason for taxpayers to shoulder the costs of their incarceration in germany

If you read between the lines, the "liberals" have already found a solution to the problem, and that is to allow troublesome refugees to bring their families, mothers, fathers, sister, brothers, aunties, uncles into the country as well, as that will make them a lot less likely to commit violent crimes.

So there you have it, the solution to the problem is to bring more of them in.

Moderation, common sense  mixed with compassion are what propelled many countries to greatness. There was a time when Germany was a bastion of enlightenment, the center of scientific thought and gasp, even responsible liberalism.  Being liberal does not mean being irresponsible, nor does being conservative require one to be mean and without empathy.  Merkel had few options other than to machine gun the border jumpers as they crossed.

The real tragedy is that they do not listen to music from the 60's, 70's and 80's.

IMO a major problem is that the 'line' between refugees and economic immigrants has been blurred - as 'EU' policy allowed entry to everyone claiming to be a refugee - and for some reason v few have been sent back to their home countries for various 'reasons', even after having committed crimes.

The influx of EU economic migrants to wealthier EU countries is an additional factor as to why people (understandably) group together refugees/economic migrants etc.

Insult is added to injury when 'photos of 'child refugees' are published - nearly entirely male, and clearly not children...

I refuse to believe that any politician is so dumb that they couldn't see this coming

They believed that 'spin' was the answer, as it's worked so well previously.

It came as a bit of a shock to realise that various electorates have become sick and tired of the lies/spin, and have started to question the politicians version of reality - compared to that they see in their own lives.

You mean the same politicians who in many cases get chauffeur driven to work and are able to get

salary increases while the rest of the populations incomes stagnate year after year. And then on top of that we treat them like they are our masters whereas it's the other way around

I saw a documentary the other night on  Al Jazeera  about how corrupt politicians in Romania still are.

One guy was sent to jail for corruption and he was still re-elected for office with  70% of the votes.

What is wrong with people?

The truth is that EU external border controls, primarily Greece, were overwhelmed by asylum seekers, which led to the waiver of the Dublin Regulation, to relieve pressure on Greece as a humanitarian gesture. IMO the bottom line was underfunding and complacency over a number of years by numerous governments that led to the flood of asylum seekers in 2015/16. If you can be bothered the challenges to achieve ease of deportation of rejected asylum seekers is well documented - it's not a mystery - as well as been addressed many times in similar topics.

Self proclaimed Unaccompanied Child Asylum Seekers have in some cases played the system, on the other side of the coin Europol have claimed 10,000 have disappeared in the EU - possibly trafficked as slaves, sex workers etc - it is not a one sided story. There have been other abuses e.g.

So the topic centers on Germany but it is not easy to exclude other countries who are in a similar situation as this post has shown .

I have several German friends who hate Merkel for what she has done . Her reason for opening the flood gates was to supplement Germany's  dwindling labour market and aging population with a plan to bring in 12 million immigrants over the next 4 decades  with disregard for her own countrymen  . Current figures say over 22% of the German population were not born in the country .  So without vetting immigrants / asylum seekers , refugees etc is it any surprise that violent crimes are being committed with many of the immigrants coming from a country where crime and violence is a way of life ? The problem is common throughout Europe .   Germany's way of living will be unrecognizable in a few years with immigrants outnumbering true Germans.

Austria have this right,no welfare, get shut at a moments notice. Spain too have it right, time bar welfare then starve

Spain's problems are tho it is a gateway to the EU.

Until the UK and other EU countries get tough a nightmare will develop.  The UK now is a hell hole anyway ,segregation the norm, ghettos all over the damned place, and a police state developing, state the truth and in court,   UK introducing UC was a good move, one section of society really affected  lol

It's all propaganda, trying to bolster the pro "let everyone in" camp.

Same same for the tv news articles purporting to show "starving" refugees that actually show obese mothers with several chubby faced children playing. I haven't seen a real live starving person, but I'm certain that starving children are not chubby faced, or happy enough to play.

That is a necessity with a dwindling birth rate, so I agree with her "reason", at least till AI/ robotics eliminates the need for workers.

Where she went wrong was to think that letting in a great mob of unvetted illegal immigrants from a culture that hates everything the west stands for was a good idea.

Enough of the nonsense posted in every topic regards Merkel and asylum seekers. Have a read of the content at the URL below.

It really wasn't Merkel
