Wedding turns to funerals; family preparations end in tragedy across from Thai border

Thai Rath reported on a tragedy as preparations for a wedding took place in a village across from the Thai town of Mae Sot in Burma at the weekend.

 

A family and friends were busy preparing a house for a wedding with cleaning and the erection of tents when a pole hit a power wire out front of a house.

 

Four men and a woman were instantly electrocuted and could not be revived.

 

The wedding then turned into funeral preparations, reported Thai Rath citing a Burmese journalist in Myawaddy.

Visited this village a month ago. People that say Thailand is a third world country do not travel much. Myramaar and this village is a third world country. Thailand is doing quite nicely economically.
