Shocking Report Shows Trump Areas Losing Jobs and Dem Areas Adding Jobs

A shocking new report from the Associated Press (AP) shows that areas in the United States that voted for President Donald Trump are losing jobs and areas that voted for Hillary Clinton are adding jobs. What all this means is that the “red” areas where Trump’s support is strongest will continue to be in economic decline, likely adding to those voters’ anxiety and resentment against diverse urban areas that are doing much better financially."

Dumb poll. The population centers (aka large cities) are where most people live. All of these areas vote democrat as reliably as lemmings running over a cliff. It will be a revelation to some that large areas with lots of people (and lots of potential jobs) will be doing better than rural (and reliably Republican voting) areas with low populations.

Tax "reform" is resulting in trillion dollar deficits.  Your hostage claims are nonsense.  Trading Taliban prisoners for a MIA soldier is worthwhile, if he is then shown to be a deserter he can face military justice.  Trump's border policies are a proven embarrassment, NATO has made no financial commitments beyond what they committed to before Obama.

Even if everything you listed were an unqualified success (none of it is) it would not compare to rescuing the country from a financial crisis that threatened to become another great depression.

BTW:  Since dealing with scary Islamists is clearly a priority with you; which Trump accomplishments do you think compare to Obama getting Bin Laden?

1.    “Tax "reform" is resulting in trillion-dollar deficits.”

you simply cannot pretend to ignore the improving economic numbers under this administration.
it is amazing that a 9 trillion dollar debt in 8 years by the Obama admin was ok though? without any infrastructure or military spending increases and millions more people on welfare. The purpose of the reform was to get the economy growing again.

We will see what an increasing GDP rate will do to the exact number being projected. It will take years to get the debt under control. you cannot be so biased as to put the ridiculous deficit on the current POTUS unless you are purposely being obtuse. The current CBO projection uses 1.9 GDP.

2. Your hostage claims are nonsense.  Trading Taliban prisoners for a MIA soldier is worthwhile,
if he is then shown to be a deserter he can face military justice.

incorrect:
He was NOT MIA he walked away from his post and was sentenced to prison and you still do not think this is desertion? that is astounding and so is your worthwhile statement. do you know what the A stands for in MIA?

3.    Trump's border policies are a proven embarrassment,

to whom? those who think we should not enforce the law? proven how?
Catch and release would suit you better or is this just a silly empathy contest?

4.    NATO has made no financial commitments beyond what they committed to before Obama.

what was the “commitment” under Obama? was there a firm agreement or just a suggestion with no threat of action behind it? just how weak and feckless do you want to be? and why should we accept it? and why have we let it happen?

“Many allies have put in place national plans to reach 2 percent by 2024 and are making progress towards that goal. In real terms, defense spending among European allies and Canada increased by 4.87 percent from 2016 to 2017”

5.     Even if everything you listed were an unqualified success (none of it is)

(only your singular opinion here) it would not compare to rescuing the country from a financial crisis that threatened to become another great depression.

TARP was passed under Bush as were many of the bailouts. But he did amass more debt than all other presidents combined, that is a fact.

6. “BTW:  Since dealing with scary Islamists is clearly a priority with you; which Trump accomplishments do you think compare to Obama getting Bin Laden?”

I am not sure where the “scary” nonsense is coming from other than spite, but here goes:

Amazing quote from Mike Pence, Vice President - -

"Dismissing the idea that the president is "just the like the rest of us," Pence wrote, "If you and I fall into bad moral habits, we can harm our families, our employers and our friends. The President of the United States can incinerate the planet. Seriously, the very idea that we ought to have at or less than the same moral demands placed on the Chief Executive that we place on our next door neighbor is ludicrous and dangerous."

When Mike Pence was a radio talk show host.

Trump's first concern is the strength of the U.S.

If the rest of the planet gets fried, yet the U.S stands tall then Trump's success. Australia looked as though a similar person may come shining through to kick out the established mob,  but unfortunately she hasn't had the smarts.  Sorry Miss Hanson. Learn from Trump maybe.

Moscow Steve, you mean?
Look, dude, Russia is an ENEMY of the USA.
They meddled in our elections in 2016 and they continue to meddle in 2018. Those are ACTS OF WAR.

Bizarrely we have a "president" that at least acts as if he is compromised by Russian dictator Putin. Not sure it really matters whether he is or not, he ACTS like he is, which probably indicates he thinks that he is.

I don't have the time to go over every one of your nutty claims, but let's talk about the wall.  This is Trump's claim to fame, his number one promise to his minions.  And of course, Mexico is going to pay for it.  Well according to the non-partisan GAO, this wall makes no sense and will cost a bundle more than estimated.

[President Donald Trump’s proposed wall on the U.S.-Mexico border could cost billions of dollars more than initially estimated, a watchdog agency warned on Monday.]

[As a result, the agency warned, the Department of Homeland Security “faces an increased risk” that the proposed wall “will cost more than projected, take longer than planned, or not fully perform as expected.”]

[Trump promised hundreds of times on the campaign trail that Mexico would pay for the wall. Yet he has repeatedly threatened to shut down the government if Democrats do not agree to appropriate U.S. taxpayer funding to build it.]

Just like pretty much every stupid idea that Trump comes up with, it's not well thought out.  Whether it's tariffs, pulling out of the Iran deal/Climate deal/TPP, ACA, corporate tax cuts, etc., Trump is kowtowing to special interests like no one ever has before.  Trump is a corrupt rube who needs to be impeached like yesterday.

of course you don't have time, you have no factual evidence.

Putting in a proper barrier so we don't have areas that can be crossed by pedestrians or boats is basic common sense and allows CBP to concentrate on criminal activity. I am sure you think we should just let people cross, but that would be insane. but i am sure you think that is racist

You ask for evidence, yet, you won't even respond to the "evidence" I provided regarding the wall.  If Trump supporters don't care about the cost, you guys should start a fund to pay for the thing.  Because your hero Trump lied, Mexico ain't paying for it.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2018/jan/30/donald-trump/trump-isis-territory-losses-near-100/

Try sticking to facts.

1.  The economy was going fine when Trump took office.  The Obama deficits were the result of the economy going into freefall at the end of the Bush administration; an economy in a deep recession generates more demands on the budget while bringing in less revenue.  Economists argue endlessly about how much good Obama's stimulus provided, but the objection ones agree that the mere fact that the federal government demonstrated a willingness to provide stimulus (as opposed to cutting spending) provided businesses and investors much needed confidance.

When times are bad, people, businesses and governments borrow to get buy.  When times are good, smart people, businesses and governments pay down the debt from the hard times.  Trump, with enthusiastic support from the Republicans, are spending like fools while gleefully bragging about how good it feels.  That is definitely not smart.

2.  Until Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was tried and convicted in court, he was MIA then POW and was treated as such.  That's how US justice works, or is supposed to work.

3.  Trump's border policies, specifically the policy of separating parents and children, was such an embarrassment and generated so much bad press that Trump reversed the policy by Executive Order, after stating that he couldn't do that.

4.  "In 2006, NATO members agreed to try to spend at least 2 percent of their gross domestic product on defense spending. In 2014, they agreed again to aim to meet that standard by 2024."    https://www.factcheck.org/2018/07/trump-still-distorting-nato-spending/

NATO has made no commitments on military spending beyond the above.

5.  Refer back to 1.  above.

6.  From your source:

"The success Trump described built upon strategy and attacks launched under President Barack Obama.

The campaign to defeat ISIS took shape in September 2014 under the name of Operation Inherent Resolve."

" Counting only sorties in which at least one weapon was released, about three fourths of the action took place during the Obama years. "

ISIS was in full retreat before Trump took office.

I am not aware of the US doing any covert election meddling since the end of the Cold War.  The fact that Russia, and possibly other nations, are doing much more sophisticated meddling in US elections needs to be investigated and prevented.  Those involved need to be charged and, if possible, tried and convicted.

It's incredibly discouraging that Trump supporters seem to dismiss Russian election meddling as no big deal.  Clearly their support for democracy isn't deep.

ACA  mandate  cost me $ 800 a year!PT saved me money .

The Climate deal, the USA was paying more than any country,That's one of the reason's why PT didn't sign it!

"Other countries may not fill the gap left by the U.S".

The mandate ,climate  deal, tariffs and the tax cut act, are saving American's money! It isn't a stupid idea!

Why would  Independents and conservatives want to impeach PT.His agenda is simple, less restriction and help to save money for American's.

How much time do you spend reading QAnon? Have you got a T-Shirt yet?  Trump is destroying himself and unfortunately the rest of the once great USA in the process. What will be interesting is how the party of Law and Order - the Republicans will react when all of Trumps crimes are actually revealed. Will it be "Lock him up", or "Well tax evasion and Grand Fraud really isn't so much of a crime"'. The mightier you are, the harder the fall (that's the USA not Trump).

Is it wrong for me to assume or ponder, the NAFTA agreement negotiations has wording that will address the Mexican Government paying a handsome amount toward the wall! It's about  making deals. They want to trade! We have a 60 B TD with them! They can help pay for the wall!

Mueller is doing a "by the book" criminal investigation.  If Trump was elected legally, he has nothing to worry about.  The fact that Trump appears very worried is suspicious.

One thing I do not understand is they seem to take it on the news like Trump's tweets are under oath.

Theoretically, Trump or anybody can say anything in public, but the story he tells investigators is what counts. Isn't it?

If I brag at a party i robbed 10 banks, but my story to the feds was i didn't I was just boasting to impress people and my story checks out, i am innocent and nothing happens to me.

We all know the guy is a liar, but that is not agaist the law. I am not a trump fan just making the point that his official statements in the investigation seems to me what would be what counted. To the other stuff, can't he just say "I am a politician, I was trying to rally my troops". I do not think lying is an actual offense. This does not seem to be reported this way in the news.
