i've seen the photos, nothing more than high jinks in the west but common sense would suggest you dont behave in such a way in a culturally sensitive place. females are equally involved.

a result possibly of the 'obsession with self' many people have nowadays with social media and wanting to do something that will gain the attention of others to boost their self esteem/ego.

Bit of an overreaction if you ask me. Judging by the photos, fairly innocent stuff happening within what appears to be an appropriate context. Suspect whoever took the decision to act didn't realise these kind of party games are meant as a bit of fun and are not to be taken seriously, as in seriously simulating sex. So yeah, you could say it's a cultural misunderstanding.

Cambodia charges foreigners with making pornographic images

Prosecutors in Cambodia have charged 10 foreigners, including five Britons, with producing pornographic images after raiding a villa in Siem Reap.

They were arrested on Thursday after images emerged of people apparently imitating sexual positions at a party in the north-western town.

If convicted, they face up to a year in prison.

Cambodia has in recent years been penalising tourists for publishing revealing images of themselves.

Also among those arrested are citizens of Canada, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Norway, reports say.

Westerners accused of ‘singing and dancing pornographically’ could face a year in Cambodian prison

Ten Westerners face up to a year in a Cambodian prison after being arrested Thursday near Angkor Wat and accused of pornography and human trafficking for “singing and dancing pornographically.”

The case represents the latest clash between young foreigners who say they were blindsided by morality police and Cambodian officials who have been cracking down in recent years on Westerners they say are failing to respect the country's mores and sacred spaces.

The singing and dancing in question happened at a popular pool party event Thursday called Let's Get Wet, according to the Telegraph. The party was in Siem Reap, not far from the country's Angkor Wat temple complex. Almost 100 people attended, mostly Western tourists and expatriates.

You better watch the video, those ladettes hang them out all the time like only Brittish boozers can do. This is not Ibiza after all and they behave worse than a chinese grouptour.

They should have gone to Spain, guess they learned that now.

Perhaps it isn't only the Chinese that could use some brushing up on tourist manners.

Definitely - bad manners aren't restricted or moderated by nationality.

Last few weeks we had American men showing their butts at temples - how well mannered! And then more Americans thinking they can write graffiti wherever they fancy.

Seems manners, good behavior, and self discipline are out of fashion,

Yeah sure, your country's tourists are all perfectly behaved, well mannered and respectful. Apart from when aggressively sticking their smelly feet next to someone's head over a bus seat and then reacting rudely when politely requested to move them! Or, and I could go on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Get real and stop the racist bigotry. Idiots exist in all countries. In some countries corrupt police seek to exploit tourists too.

I feel so lucky it ain´t up to you. When that is out of the air, then we can go over to more relevant comments regarding the post, right Mr. Destiny?

Ok, I don´t know. In that case they are stupid, travelling to a country without knowledge about what is acceptable or not. Pick your poison!

Agreed, looks like a private venue and some people having a bit of fun

Have to also consider that Cambodia is just as bad as Thailand when it come to extorting funds from people.

I don't believe that video is connected to this particular incident, looks like a video from one of the party nights in sihanoukville beach resort down south where these parties are common

Exactly!

And FYI, i just heard on the online radio that there were 10 arrests and 1 of them was Dutch.

Those kids should know that this behaviour is not common on the whole world. For this way of partying they should stay in Europe.

Follows a long tradition of young 20 somethings going to exotic places, getting drunk and acting stupid. Kontiki tours around Europe were exemplars of this in the 70s and 80s. Nothing new, but still equally annoying. They'll get a slap on the wrist and a great story to tell yobbo friends upon returning home.
