I would go for a coffee there when in town for sure

I doubt very much that you will come across ladies in such attire there anymore

Personally, I call myself a feminist; but I am fine with ladies working at a venue like a coffee shop in such sexy attire  I am also fine with hunky men working in sexy attire

I don't see all this as degrading.

"“Do you have to do as much as this to promote your shop? So, do you want to open a coffee shop or a brothel?" asked Facebook user Benyapa Rungkitsataporn. “This kind of promotion prompted female baristas like me to be viewed negatively,” posted another Facebook user.

“Now, foreigners perceive Thailand as brothels. Please have understanding for working people in the profession [when] you use this kind of bad promotion. Please understand how they will be perceived."

Point 1

"Coffee shop girl" used to be a Thai euphemism for hooker, in fact I believe the infamous 'Ping Payom' in Chiang Mai is still advertised as a 'Coffee Shop' on the signs outside.

Point 2

When did barista become a profession or has the Thai lady confused barista with barrister?

As far as I can see the naked woman was just a waitress.

I do not see it degrading either to me it just freedom. If a person is sexy likes to be seen as sexy more power to them.  If some is bold and out spoken let them be that . The bottom line be who ever you want to be and let others have the same chance to live their way and do as they please. If it hurts no one let it be.

In Spain bars double as coffee shops or vice versa and the people that serve are called baristas.  In English we would call them barmen/women.

Perfect garbage news: Nude coffee shop worker!....No, she has on an apron...oh, and underwear.

Poor journalists, so irrelevant.

Successful clever journalists, creating the kind of clickbait guaranteed to suck in TVF members and generate page views (18 pages already) and ad revenue. So very relevant.

Seems you have no idea how the biz works. Poor you, just a product, a revenue generator, an easy mark. Later, after they've figured out there's actually no there there, the marks all congratulate themselves on their shrewdness without realizing it was just bait in the first place. I love this forum!

Apparently you have never been around journalists because successful would not be an adjective to describe the majority of them.

See, aren't assumptions nice?

You wish, just more assumption on your part. We're not talking world-class here obviously. But having a job, doing it well, getting page views & clicks out of innocent you--it's quite successful enough in its own little arena.

Excellent! I never get to see any of the ads but I hear there's quite a lot of them. The more viewed, and clicked, the better the revenue stream. So you've also clicked around viewing and they also got you to create free amusing content for the site as well to help generate more views & clicks while you were thinking what poor, irrelevant journalists they are. Actually I've adopted your terminology for your better understanding but we should really be calling the primary post authors not "journalists" but something like web marketing content creators or somesuch.

Agreed, a better title is deserved. Perhaps, digital pimps for 'the man'?
