Wrong-way driver hits bike taxi, injuring 4

PATTAYA:--A wrong-way driver was critically injured when he collided with motorcycle taxi carrying a tourist and a Thai woman.

 

Eaksuwat Chaisomboon, 31, was unconscious when paramedics arrived at the Central Road – Second Road intersection around 3 a.m. Jan. 27. He was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in a coma.

 

Motorcycle taxi driver Manot Duangta, 41, his foreign male passenger and a Thai woman riding pillion sustained minor injuries.

 

Manot said he was driving the couple back from Beach Road when the driver of the Bangkok-registered Yamaha Aerox, traveling at high speed against traffic, slammed into his Honda Dream Super Cup. The Aerox careened into a utility pole, critically injuring the wrong-way driver.

I have become used to lowspeed ,cautious wrong way drivers,but it is the drivers who speed by you coming from your backside with out any regard for children ,that makes me realize how completey lawless and shamless some thais are...and yes this is 99.9% thais..
