Thai girlfriend says she didn't argue with her Korean boyfriend as he slashes his wrists

Police and medics rushed to the Royal Twins Hotel in Pattaya Sai 2 yesterday after reports that a South Korean man had tried to kill himself by slashing his wrists and taking ten packs of paracetamol.

 

They found 51 year old Mr O Yougdon unconscious on the 14th floor outside room 1425.

 

He was taken to Meuang Pattaya hospital as his pulse was very weak.

 

Inside the room the cops found broken glass and ten empty packs of Decolgen medicine.

 

Soon his 30 year old Thai girlfriend Jiraporn Khotlamkhaek arrived. She had been notified of the incident by hotel staff.

 

She said that they had never had an argument that would warrant this kind of reaction.

 

She suspected that her boyfriend was stressed from a build up of work related issues.

 

Police would need to ask him himself why he might try to take his life, she said.

Where does it say that police believe her? Then again, you haven't questioned the victim yet yourself before deciding what happened and why. Well done.

usually related to depression and unlikely anything to do with his GF. anyway. i wish him a speedy recovery and i hope the thais point him in the right direction where to get support/help

And what proof do you have, Sherlock, that he tried to kill himself over a Thai lady?  Do you know something the rest of us, including the cops, don't know, or are you simply running off at the mouth in an effort to Thai bash? 

According to the report, the GF wasn't even at the appt when this happened, and stated they had never had an argument serious enough to lead to this.  There could be any number of reasons he tried to kill himself, which have nothing to do with her, but I know how easy it is for many of you to immediately jump on the Thai Bash Horse.

have known some koreans that get very emotional and dramatic over stress like relationship problems. one guy arguing with korean girlfriend while driving purposely crashed his car.

To all who bash Thais (me too on occasion) if you want to see a culture that is messed up go live, or work with Koreans. Thais are much much nicer by comparison.
