Hotel's Chief Financial Officer – CFO


We are a hotel in Khaosan Road area of Bangkok; We are looking for a professional to fill the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who will provide operational support to the organization concerning all financial matters. CFO Reports directly to the President and directly assists on all strategic and tactical matters related to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding if needed. CFO Will be accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, including the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

 

CFO may also, take on the role of the Controller, Tax Manager, and Investor Relations Officer.

Chief Financial Officer position classification 

 

·         Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.

·         Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the CEO in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective new investments.

·         Ensure adequate controls are installed, that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all sales may pass independent and governmental audits.

·         Monitor banking activities of the organization.

·         Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.

·         Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans, as well as develop financial and tax strategies.

·         Implement operational best practices and report risk issues.

·         Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

·         Analyzes the financial details of the past, present, and expected operations in order to identify trends, development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.

·         Advises management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies or actions.

·         Provides direction, assistance, training and advice to other department personnel regarding budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and other fiscal management areas.

·         Ensures all financial records are maintained in a manner acceptable to applicable government regulations.

·         Periodically audits the accounts payables, accounts receivable, payroll, records of transaction, to ensure internal compliance and accuracy of financial reporting.

·         Responsible for the accurate recording of transactions, submission of appropriate documentation, and timely completion of all related financial functions.

 

 

CFO Knowledge, skills and abilities :

 

·         Knowledge of organizational development, human resources, and program operations.

·         Ability to create and assess financial statements and budget documents; As well as recognize and be responsive to the needs of all employers.

·         Must possess the knowledge and practical experience in progressive business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership principles and techniques, directing and coordinating operational activities.

·         Must be able to write clear, concise reports of information for others to easily comprehend and communicate with others in a non‐threatening and professional manner to convey information effectively and appropriately.

·         Advise management concerning insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities and on desirable operational adjustments due to business levels and tax revisions.

·         Ability to break down information and data into separate parts to identify underlying principles, causes, reasons or facts.

 

 

Qualification  & Experience :

 

·         High level of written and oral communication skills in English.

·         Experience with Thai accounting.

·         Experience in financial analysis.

·         Foreigner

·         Able to review contracts

·         Able to audit a company

·         3 years minimum work experience in Thailand and very experienced with Thai accounting system.
