BANGKOK, 9 February 2018 (NNT) - The Prime Minister has inaugurated the Sustainable Thai Idealism project by encouraging Thais to participate in national development.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha delivered a policy address to over 2,800 members of the committee on facilitating national development.

They include deputy premiers, ministers, commanders of military branches, regional administrators, experts, and provincial governors. He said the project aims to create a people-centric and grassroots approach to raising the standard of living for low-income citizens.

The Prime Minister urged attendees to encourage local participation.

The project will divide the committee into 7,663 teams to mobilize development agendas at the community level.

The agendas involve promoting unity, sustainability, democracy, technological proficiency, resilience against drug abuse, awareness of personal rights and Thai law, and the bureaucratic system.

The teams will begin their tasks on February 21st.

You could start by having a certain someone return the money back to low-income citizens through the sale of his watches.

He could start by promoting democracy, awareness of personal rights and the bureaucratic system himself.

Really fun doing a fact check.

Promoting unity - failed

Sustainability - Submarines and increase in defence budget makes this an oxymoron

democracy - laughable

Tech proficiency - lip service

Resilience against drug - not new

Awareness of personal rights - got to be joking

Thai law - translate as junta law

Bureaucratic system - top heavy and not slow in implementation. Lack leadership.

I gave give the agenda zero chance to succeed when you have a junta government and not a merit base system.

What does this mean?

Sustainable = to ensure the elite's ongoing grip on the purse strings.

Thai = Project Thai, a highly successful form of pre-internet mass brain-washing.

Idealism = gobbledygook as "culture" and "security" in order to facilitate the sustainable and the Thai.

Sustainable Thai Idealism

Seriously! what does it even mean??:coffee1:

Might be something to do with sustaining the power of the generals to be the arbiters of what constitutes Thai culture and democracy.
