triffid Posted February 11, 2018 Share Posted February 11, 2018 This is of course a topic tangential to 'international food' but can anyone tell me where to buy a chapati box? These are boxes - they tend to be round - with lids and keep chapatis, naans, etc warm. They are a common household item in south Asia. worgeordie Posted August 20, 2018 Share Posted August 20, 2018 I think you are referring to a Tiffin box,that's what they are called in India, where you see tiffin wallahs riding about piled high with tiffin boxes to deliver lunches to the workers. I've seen those in canteens at various building sites in the ME where there are a lot of south asian workers...probably a lot easier to find in those parts than in Thailand... there's probably a lot of available small kitchen appliances in Thailand that could substitute...have a look around the small appliance section of the larger tescos, makro and homepro...and make smaller chapattis so that they fit...not as nice as what yer lookin' for but this is the SE Asian jungle and it's every man for himself and god against all...
