webfact Posted February 15, 2018 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Myanmar migrant workers protest in Mae Sot By Thai PBS Myanmar migrant workers yesterday (Wednesday) blocked traffic in front of a jewellery factory to protest their employer for what they claimed was unfair deduction of their daily meal allowance. They demanded that they be paid 310 baht minimum wage from the current 305 baht they received daily. About 300 migrant workers in Mae Sot district of Tak province blocked traffic on the road in front of their jewellery factory to press for their demands, promoting labour authorities and police to intervene and negotiate.
