Video: Foreign tourist brutally attacked by Walking Street thugs

A foreign man was lucky to escape serious injury after being attacked by two men in Walking Street, Pattaya.

Footage of the incident, which took place outside Family Mart during the early hours of Wednesday morning, shows a foreign tourist being attacked by two men of Thai appearance.

The two attackers can be seen be seen knocking the foreigner to the floor before one of the men wearing a white vest lands a brutal kick to his face.

The other attacker then continues to punch the foreign man while he is on the floor.

Luckily, the foreign man, who is clearly dazed, manages to get back on his feet and get away from his attackers.

The clip was shared to a local Pattaya Facebook page, which claimed the two attackers were street vendors who became involved in a confrontation with the foreign man, although it’s not known why.

It’s also not known if police are aware of the incident.

Last month, an American soldier was attacked by a group of Thai men selling fake watches on Pattaya beach road.

The watch sellers were later arrested and charged with selling fake goods.

Following the incident police said they were working to rid Pattaya of annoying street vendors who harass foreign tourists.

What a dog act by the 2 attackers. Once u start laying the boot into someone on the deck it should be mandatory jailtime.

Pattaya is not a bad place at all, just a lot of proper wrong uns there these days (more so than in days gone by).

I wonder that when once these spineless attackers get lifted they'll be charged with tarnishing Pattaya's reputation.. And no doubt the UK gutter press will be all over this like a cheap suit also ?

He was quite lucky as the guys did not really know how to fight. Alot of these beatings end up much worse.  The first attacker almost knocked himself to the ground on a couple of occasions with wild handbags at dawn haymakers.

Appearently the words ran empty in the two Thias brain once again, and the only thing we know is deadly violence as a resort and substitute for that.
Maybe time to have obligatory new word courses for all morons.

Amazing that in a such disgraceful place there is no police kiosk or patrol.Best is for all tourists not to go to that unsavory hot spot.?

Best that unsavory tourists do go there. Like attracts like. Don't want them ruining the islands.

Disgraceful place? please, that could of been anyone one of the tourist hotspots in Thailand.

There is a police presence on Walking st by the way including tourist police.

Why would they be?  There's nothing in it for them.  If it was two farangs beating up a Thai, well the $ signs would be whirring.

Agreed, even if they did know I doubt anything would happen, late night and Walking st and all that.

:)

Looks like a pretty bad beating yet he was able to walk away.       Hope he at least reported it to the police.

Sooooo, where were the police? There's always loads of them hanging around down there, and what about the farang police volunteers. Perhaps their fancy uniforms are just for show.

Not supposed to be any hawker stalls on W S anyway. Cops not doing their job?

Never been there then. Obviously not with that comment.

Police all over the place, except when a farang is getting beaten up, apparently.
