Vet schools? Billeting? Research centers?

Are you for real lol.. Who cares.. And the others " tennis, golf" you can get anywhere. And how many people go hiking in stinking hot weather.

The "girls" are actually closer to granny's to service the old dinasoures that live there

Don't forget: he mentioned this prime reason for loving Hua Hin was the

 "quality  weekend residents from Bangkok."

Have you read post number 24 ? Sidegra is sold in pharmacies; as you don't use Viagra yourself, how can you speak of products that you don't use ?

Yes, a local version of a product containing sildenafil citrate is available in Thailand. That does not mean that all the available boxed generics are legitimate or that they  have a bio equivalency.  Are you aware that generics have different inert products and constructs than do proprietary brands? That is why some generics are more effective than others despite their containing similar ingredients.

How do you know that it  is a genuine generic? Well, here's some tips to determine when there is a likelihood it is not;

- Pharmacist does not require a script.

- Is the pharmacy selling the product storing the product at a temperature of between 15C and 30C? That is the maximum short term temperature range. Failure to store at the recommended temperature of 23C speeds degradation of the active ingredient. In plain language, one of the reasons why pharmacies charge more for certain drugs is because those drugs must be kept below a specified temperature and 24/7 AC costs. The pharmacy that "discounts" the cost of drugs most likely isn't  storing the drugs as they should be.

- Have you ever verified a generic drug's DIN number/lot number? It's easy to do. The drug companies all have  access lines you can call and ask. This is how multiple counterfeit versions of branded and generics  were identified.

Seriously painting a picture of tourists that don't flock to Hua hin as child molesters?
You have some serious issues to deal with.
The place is DEAD untill 8pm. I recently spent 4 weeks and it was far worse than chiang mai
The best thing about Hua hin is the new ferry out of there

I was pointing out that  unlike other destinations, Hua Hin isn't a sex tourism destination. That speaks to the type of  visitor. That doesn't mean unfortunate activities do not occur, as they do, just that the quality of HH and Cha Am  visitors/tourists  is obvious.

The place is not "dead". Because  the beaches are so vast, large numbers can be using them without anyone getting underfoot. I had a walk yesterday and the illegal restaurants were packed, and there were many kite surfers along with thousands of beach goers.  On weekdays, many people are working or  stay out of the sun.  The region has a robust economy and a growing population. If the region was dead, that would not be the case.

I get it, your idea of excitement  are  the cheap beer bars that crowd Patong and Pattaya, or the bordellos posing as night clubs. Fine. However, there are a large number of golf & tennis clubs which are packed with foreigners. Not everyone's idea of fun is drinking Leo with a sex trade worker or attending a Patpong ping pong show. There is an active cultural life in the region and many of the older foreigners socialize with each other.

I had dinner at 6 pm a couple nights ago on the night market restaurant strip. It was packed with Asians, mostly Chinese and Japanese families, all spending large amounts of money.  Hua Hin is currently filled with Asians with lots of money to spend. This demographic isn't big on beer bars in quite the same way  the older white male demographic is. These are young professional families and Hua Hin is a great destination for them, just as it is  for the  large numbers of university kids down for the weekend or the  military folks out on leave. Perhaps you find it boring because you are out of your comfort zone and cannot interact with these people.

This is why Hua Hin Cha Am is the destination of choice  for quality foreigners.   And quality doesn't exclude those of modest means.

So you say Hua Hin is the place for intelligent  upper class long term customers? I feel much better now ;-)

You in real estate or marketing because you are sprouting totall BS.

Sure it's dead because everyone is on the beach riding wild horses

I guess patong and Samui are busy all day because nobody swims there.

You criticize others for sitting with bar girls and a few posts back you were playing with a 20 year old.

Or did she pick you up while hiking gramps?

It's dead because the old dinasoures that populate jurassic park are napping all day. Huan hin is God's waiting room. Just look at the OP dropping like flies.. That's what happens when you stop playing the game and " retire"

10 out 10 for trying to spin it, vet schools and research centers was scrapping the bottom of the barrel though LMAO!

How can you make a profit of making a  fake... Sidegra... 100 baht, 4 tablets?

People confuse 'fake' with 'unbranded', 'Unlicensed' and 'generic'

Fake doesn't work, the rest do.

The ones made in India sell for 20-30bht a box (of 4) at the Mae Sai border.

I do not have a vested interest in real estate or marketing. I don't ask that you love Hua Hin, but  the claim that it is a dead town is not accurate.

Patong is a condensed town, with a beach that is taken up by  illegal jet skis and parasail operations.  Approximately, less than 30% of the beach  is actually available for swimming, so obviously it will be crowded. The people swimming in the bay are clueless as to the quality of water.

It's all about the value proposition and preferences. If you feel that  paying 25% more for significantly lower quality services is  worth it, go for it. I deeply resented  my almost 1000 baht cab ride from HKT to Patong the last time I was there. My limo from the  Kempinski in Siam, Bangkok  to Hua Hin was 1900 baht.  I  enjoyed  my weekend in Krabi, but have never returned after seeing the sights. It's very popular with the younger backpackers for a visit as well as older  Scandinavian tourists. Different market demographics.

Hua Hin's hotels offer some of the best bang for the baht in Thailand. Where else can  one get 4*, 5* accommodation in a beach resort  at a cost 25-40% less than in  Samui or Phuket?  There are 2 international quality hospitals able to  address most medical crises with easy access to Bangkok. Are you aware of what happens when there is a serious incident in Samui or Phuket and time matters? It makes a difference if one needs access to trauma care after a car crash or fall or sports related injury, or even a heart attack.

Your comment about  me and a 20 year old lost me as I  don't have any 20 year old friends.

You wish to ridicule the  "older" demographic", and point out that the gentleman who died  was a "dinosaur". Seriously? I hope to live to 80+ and to  pass quickly in a luxury condo and to be found within hours as was his case. People die of heart attacks every day. It's better than the death demographic of Pattaya which skews to younger people because of the impact of mental illness and lifestyle choices. When I lived in Patong, one of the younger  alcoholics died in my condo building. He slipped on the  floor and cut himself on the broken glass . He was so drunk he had passed out and bled out in his alcoholic daze. He wasn't discovered for some time until the  stench of death became evident, despite the building being one of the largest in Patong.  When is the last time someone took a flying leap off a balcony in Cha Am? Never.

Despite your assumption that everyone is  elderly in Hua Hin, you  should check the  provincial demographics. It is a young and expanding area. Lots of young families now. If you are scared of a 60 year old  European lady, so be it. They don't bite. You will be there soon enough.

Ok. Happy for you.

Do not confuse class with having money. If that was the case, Pattaya would be the classiest place in Thailand.

I live in Hua Hin and it bores me off the pants to sit with these “uneducated sex trade workers” who really have nothing to tell as “where do you come from” and “what is your name”. And if you switch to Thai they are making fun of you and look down on you as if you are the latest clown in town. The younger they are the least respect they show. I lost almost all of my good old friends due to illness, death and obstinacy of old age and my life has become quite quiet. But I hear this from others, too. Lack of comradeship and good chats is one of the biggest hardships one has to master here. But good to know to store my Sidegra in the fridge.

I feel a little sorry for the 2 girls, however you must be paying them well to die too, be very careful how you plan this, if they are Thai they will try and wriggle their way out of the death bit part of the agreement. You may need to dose them with something a little stronger than Viagra.
