The unit from Ranger Company 4502 was attacked at the Ban Taliang School in Moo 4 village in Tambon Koh Sathon at 11.05pm. Srikcir
Google the article title for another article that cannot be referenced in TV for more details of the attack. The two Rangers are apparently "volunteers" (rent-a-soldiers?) so not what I'd call "regular army." Having them patrol late at night on foot in an area frequented by insurgent attacks borders on command negligence. Or was the patrol ordered deliberately in hopes of a fatal attack that could be used to justify reduced peace talk efforts by the military?
