Seriously this has to be an April fools joke!and secondly the bloke would be an Australian not Austrian!

Thais don't know the difference. The names are so similar that they get confused. Can't blame them really. Clever that TV included that 'confusion'.

This will completely ruin my nights out , if I cannot play Connect 4 , what else I am I supposed to do ?

After watching the football on TV , playing a game of pool and then getting up and dancing for four minutes and waving my hands in the air singing along to "Born to be wild" , I need to sit down and catch my breath and play a game of Connect 4 .

Things will never be the same again .

I've had some really romantic nights, playing Connect 4

Ah, the old "strip connect four" routine eh, you little devil you

They should crack down on students taking exams at the end of the academic year. Gambling is rife among students as young as four years old, and the cupidity of the teachers is fanning the flames of this bushfire of illegal activity.

By the way, what is the date today?

A Pattaya police spokesman said that the image of the resort as a tourist friendly destination was at stake.

“Since we have stopped darts and bridge many more families have felt safer to come and spend money here,” he said on condition of anonymity.

“Stopping Connect Four should assist Pattaya and other places in Thailand to maintain their status as World Class destinations not just for Chinese people, but everyone”.

OMG it's so funny, it must be april fool

I'll bet 100 THB this couldn't fairly be defined as gambling as easily as it can be labeled another tool in the bar tool bag called "the fleece".

"Darling, you want to play a game?  You ever play Connect 4?  Oh, it's fun and easy..., If I win you buy me drink..., If I lose you buy me drink, OK?".  55555

'Buffalo sick' line has lost its impact.

What was that estimate of under the table lottery business in Thailand - hundreds of millions a year that would be wiped out by replacing the current paper ticket system with a modern on line system - now THATS a lot of gambling that would be legitimized with taxes paid. Perhaps we are witnessing a mis allocation of police resources??

"People have been saying that on this forum since it started.

Yet Thailand has more tourists every year.

Grumpy expats might not like it - but Thailand is booming. The tourism trade is booming."

Have you seen all the businesses struggling and closing down in Pattaya?

Literally the dumbest sh!t I've heard yet coming out of Thailand.

Have no fear gents, as I am planning a nice little native style party resort in the Philippines.

You'll be glad you know you can stay, drink, play all kinds of games, hang out with the girls and even engage in other touristy activities, if you so choose, without all this nonsense. For much lower cost too.

We won't even PRETEND to be a world class destination as Thailand likes to do..

Lol

Don't forget to post the address and directions.

Whatever the authorities are doing - might make it less fun for aging sexpats but it's still working to bring in more tourists.

I was wandering how long the first rosey specs post would take. Didn't expect it this quick. You people aren't quite all there. Don't you ever wonder why you're the only one swimming against the tide?

Your mate Suradit will approve I'm sure.
