harrycallahan
Sounds like it's compensation for the impairment only not the treatment. Actuaries just crunched the numbers and found for every so many thousand tourists x number die or suffer permanent disability. And y number will actually be paid after successfully penetrating our barricaded claims department.

Nuuk
In case of death resulted from treatment of injuries, a 5,000 baht funeral cost will be given by the insurance company. And in case of receiving treatment at hospital over 5 days, the insurance company will cover hospital expenses for three months.
