webfact Posted April 24, 2018 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Uttaradit hospital employee arrested for stealing from patient By The Nation FILE photo//Google maps An employee of the Uttaradit provincial hospital has been arrested and fired for allegedly stealing Bt5,000 in cash from a patient. Thanapol Konkham, a non-medical staff member in the women’s ward, was arrested and taken back to the hospital for a crime re-enactment on Tuesday. On Monday, a woman patient filed a complaint with police that Bt5,000 had disappeared from under her pillow. Footage from a security camera showed that Thanapol climbed into the ward through a window late on Sunday night while all the patients were assleep and searched for valuables. Cornered by the footage, Thanapol admitted the crime. He also tested positive to drug use.
