Numerous surveys have shown that many, if not most, men who identify as heterosexual have a sexual experience with another man at some time in their lives. The same goes for women, only more so. Such activity is hardly surprising. How else can an individual discover where they stand on the spectrum of human sexual activity, with all that implies in terms of having lasting, committed relationships? The author of one of the studies cited the Pink article, Ritch C. Savin-Williams, has written extensively in support of his conviction that nobody is one hundred percent heterosexual, including this fascinating Time magazine article: http://time.com/5026092/mostly-straight-sexual-identity-bisexual-gay/ Not this one and never will. The aversion is hormonal, not emotional. For example, I can kiss a gay man in greeting, as long as the implication is platonic. I worked for years alongside gay males during the initial stages of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the US and kissing on the lips was fairly commonplace. And there is nothing in my upbringing that would psychologically preclude me from having a sexual attraction to same-sex individuals. It is not a cognitive reaction that I am referring to. It is a visceral reaction that would make the encounter impossible. And I don't think Stanley Kubrick could possibly offer much by way of explanation for issues not related to film, though I could be wrong on that point. Edit: You said to read the book, not watch the movie. My apologies, though I am dubious that Anthony Burgess would be of much additional benefit, in this regard. An interesting source of support for an argument, just the same. Take care. Glad you found the reference to Anthony Burgess. It is still you personally, and many straight men do not have the reaction you experience. OK, there will be other straight guys who feel like you, but there is no way you can generalise it. And there are even gay guys who have been intimate with women, imagine that. Some of them have been so intimate with women that they become fathers. The world is so diverse ... As I said before most of the adult gay men I've met have had some sex with women and don't think they are bi. I trust them. Not you. Yes, the majority of men into ladyboys identify as straight. If a person, male or female like to dabble with both sexes, than that makes him/her bi. Men that go with pre-op ladyboys and still claim to be heterosexual are living a miscomprehension. They try to convince themselves and others that if going with a guy that dresses like a woman and tries to act like a woman, is a woman. Sorry, but this is not the case, in-fact what they`re trying to do is cover up their gayness with pretence. There is no logic in your argument. What's most important is how people identify themselves. There are people that are truly bisexual, they usually know that themselves, but not everyone that has had sex sometime in their lives with both sexes is bisexual. NOT EVEN CLOSE. There are times where it's important to know about genders of sex partners regardless of labeling. Such as the category MSM (Men that have sex with men). This is something medical professionals are concerned about because there are specific health risks with that. But just being a MSM in a recent time frame doesn't mean the person either is gay or bi or identifies as gay or bi for life. For examples, prison environments, gay for pay, short term fluidity, etc.
Captor
Are there any muslims in the survey? The muslims all had sexual relations with other guys before they marry a woman their parents or family have chose. They all have had a sexual relation before marry due to religion.I would say 95-100%. I have been in the middle east for some time during my military service so I know it is true. If I did feel sexually attracted to other men, then that makes me a Bi-guy, even if I tried to convince myself I am not. And I`ll argue this to the cows come home. Straight guys will agree. Gay and bisexual men won’t. You are using non-hetero males in all your examples. Yes, the world is diverse. However, heterosexual males, by definition, are not. And I have already explained that the implied sample includes all neurotypical, heterosexual males. Not just me.
