Sad to see but there are many more out there who get into a spiral of depression and can’t focus on a clear way out.

Interesting point in this story is that he was concerned a corrupt Thai judges were going to conspire to take everything from him but the story makes pretty clear that he had nothing but debts?

Yes, I thought the same, if he is in debt with no assets the court cant take anything off him. If anything the court would rule that the wife is liable 50/50 for any debt incurred during marriage. His pension would certainly remain his.

Its not like the Sun to sensationalise or get these details wrong, lol

2 million baht debt and 68 years old,

Says it all right there. No more needs to be said.

Sad really because another guy just landed moments ago in BKK heading to Pattaya and will likely meet the same fate.

Maybe he thought that the Courts could take his pension to pay off his debts ?

Yes it is obvious and he chose the wrong woman but there's no need to put the boot in.

There are many over 70's who are having the time of their lives, unfortunately he saw no way out other than suicide.. it's sad really.

when one lets their little head rule what they do it will keep happening especially with females that are there purely  to get whatever they can from the men, some simply cannot accept the truth till it is too late. Sad to see it end like this, pity he didnt stop and think before he got involved, bars & glorified hookers win out again

Where are you getting the 2 million baht figure from, the article says 50,000 Baht.

"The pensioner was reportedly reduced to borrowing from friends as he lived in a cramped rented room in Pattaya with debts allegedly mounting to £50,000".

Pounds & Baht
