Re entry permit at don muang airport

Recommended Posts

If you print the TM8 form at home, complete it yourself and attach a picture, it's 1,000 baht.

If you pay 200 baht extra, they would do it for you on the computer, including taking your picture, so all you would have to bring is the passport and 1,200 baht.

Generally, there are not many people getting the re-entry permit, so expect between 5 to 20 minutes wait time.

They now insist on taking the picture and charging B200, thus B1200 total.  They also print out the form, just asking for necessary details.  All you need is your passport.

The Re-Entry permit office at DMK is also the overstay office where delinquents have to go to pay their fines.  Make sure when you go in, you let them know you are there for a re-entry permit as they sometimes assume anybody coming in is for overstay and you can end up waiting a long time.  If they know you are there for re-entry, they will take care of you pretty quickly.

And you can also politely insist that you have it complete from home with the picture attached and you don't wish to pay the extra 200 baht.

Off topic but still relevant. They have made it more official looking but still deceiving at Suvarnabhumi. In Immigration 2 where it is located, they now have desk saying Reentry permit, but all that desk does is take 1,200 baht, print your reentry permit form and take your pic, give you back 1,000 baht, issue you with a receipt of 200 baht for "Application Form & Photo Service", and send you to the offices at the back. Totally avoidable if you come with your own application and photo. Still a bit deceiving but better than before.

As far as I am aware, DMK does not have this system yet, but you can still insist that you do not wish to pay the 200 baht if you choose to do so.

Again, the pic below is for Suvarnabhumi under the new system.
