Lazada Thailand

Lazada Thailand has been around for a couple of years now. I have become a customer right after they opened here and have since bought hundreds of items. In fact, the Kerry logistics driver comes here at least once a week and he knows us already like we are family. Unfortunately, often the process is painful for the customer. It happened to me several times, that I didn't get the product I ordered, but something different. It also happened, that when I ordered products sent from abroad, that the seller simply doesn't send the product, even though you are waiting 4-6 weeks, just nothing arrives. There are lots of other problems I encountered. Yesterday I ordered a hot water air pot for 990 Baht. I had 295 Baht in my e-wallet (new Lazada feature), I took those 295 Baht and was led to my Bangkok Bank online account to pay the balance of 695 Baht. I paid and then received an email from Lazada acknowledging my purchase. When I looked up the status of my purchase this morning, it read and still reads: "Thank you for shopping at Lazada! Please complete the payment within 48 hours. Otherwise, order will be cancelled automatically."

I sent an email message to a customer care person at 10:10 this morning, but at 11:15 still no answer. Today I don't feel very happy with Lazada, you can guess that. Any other members who are using Lazada and their e-wallet?

Another thing:many people buy on recommendations. I tried to write a review several times on a product, but whenever I wrote the review, the "Submit" button is greyed out: another Lazada bug!

I have used the new Bangkok Bank payment systems several times - first time or two had issues with payment not appearing to have been made but in fact was and on query was told so (but takes few hours).  Recent payments seem to be handled much better as third party payment systems does not seem to be directly involved anymore.  Have not used anything but COD or the bank transfer system and never had wrong item - never buy overseas shipped items (much cheaper on Aliexpress in my experience) as that is direct payment/shipment from China provider.

Agree search still needs improvement - but at least much better than several years ago.  Important to check 'local' under location to avoid having to review overseas shipment items for me.  If you have a specific item/model number/name search works much better.

Prefer Aliexpress,it may take longer for product

to arrive, but no problems so far, with many purchases,

always get the item shipped  China Air mail registered,

NEVER UPS,FEDEX etc.never been asked to pay taxes yet !

The times I have bought anything off LAZADA its always

been C.O.D.

Always satisfied with Lazada ( pay on arrival ) and Kerry , bought already dozens and dozens items

Unfortunately you have no control over the delivery firm and some are less capable than others - have had in their hands for up to a week for Bangkok delivery and 3-4 days now seems normal (from 1-2 previously).

I've been happy with Lazada so far after ordering dozens of items over the past year, always CC. Once a supplier sent a wrong thumbdrive which I returned right away to the nearest 7/11 and got my refund in a week.

But they do need to steal the search algorithm from Amazon.

and implement Amazon's online chat. Very cool feature! Has saved me Thai VAT I had to pay twice.

Angola??? What's that all about?

I have wondered that as well.

Buy most my wife's clothes via Lazada as she is a 3XXL. Most everything comes from China in 10 days. Never a problem to date. Bought over a 150K in Electrical goods. Never a problem.

I buy one item it seems a day... lol!

I also would never buy from Lazada, if shipped from abroad. I would not trust the Thai customs to be efficient promoters of e-commerce to Thailand !!

I just had 10 dresses show up for my wife from China a few days ago.

To date, never a problem

Yes, I sometimes buy viagra for a “friend”..

Will I be more than happy to send you a PM with the wife and dresses?

She is a bit of a heifer but she cooks good ...

Edit: you should see my Diamond earrings and pink smock - looks great on me - (I got your joke... I am a bit slow)

Never had any problem with payment or delivery but the search engine and filters are appalling throwing up endless junk in a serious search is very annoying.

I've found one way to narrow the search results was to specify a price range above that of the useless junk accessories.

I have used Lazada a lot in the past but have noticed somewhat of a decline in service lately; fewer payment options and often a hinky web page, sometimes I have difficulty signing in and have to use a circuitous sign in route.

Not unusual for a business suffering growing pains.  Their 80% acquisition by AliBaba does not fill me with hope for the future.

  • 2 months later...

Made a transfer from my Wallet (which had been credited with a returned item) to my Thai bank account. On inquiry after 4 days with nothing being credited I was told it could take up to 12 days. Suggested they use a computer for the transfer instead of sending a letter.

You sure the dresses are for your wife?

If you are into wearing dresses who are we to judge, whatever floats your boat.?:cheesy:

Never had a problem with CoD, but Kerry often don't have their tracking working until after delivery.

Don't complain, a refund to your credit card from Decathlon Thailand (sports wear) takes 21 days.
