And if so, is one been allowed to withdraw it from the nearest ATM just over the border in Tachilek if one doesn't have it in one's wallet ? briley Posted January 30, 2007 Share Posted January 30, 2007 AFAIK, 10K baht for a 30 day visa excemption or 20K baht for 60 day visa entries. Don't think the Tachilek ATM's give Baht - if they have them? Some people say they'll let you go into Mai Sai and use an ATM to get the money. I've been asked once in three years and produced a wad that was around 8000 in mixed notes, waved through uncounted. The guy in front of me produced a small wad of twenties to the same reaction.
