This man has a good chance of being on the receiving end of "family justice". Relatives can inflict a lot of damage and very little would be done about it. His best option is to leave the area and never return.

I agree nothing would be done about, a man employed at the ampore in my village had his house broken into by the local thief, he was seen leaving the garden by a neighbour, the man was outraged why this thief was still not in prison (he is now) and told the police that if they didn't do something he would shoot him himself, the captain at the station just said make sure nobody see's you.

If he started when she was in grade school, and it continued for over two years, she must have been 13 the first time he raped her. Now that she's 15 the 1996 law allows the parents to accept his offer of marriage as amends, but there is no such remedy for a child 14 or younger. There was a Senator who was sent to prison for having sex with 14 year old girls. At least he paid them, but the law was enforced. This law has been in effect since December 1996, and there is no excuse for a teacher not to know about it. I agree, it's outrageous that they are even questioning whether this needs to go through the courts. Of course it does. The law is clear. Even at age 15 if she was a prostitute and he had paid he is supposed to go to jail. The cops in that district need some shaking up.

There are tooo many "untouchables" in this country and that's why the "normal" people have nearly no chance to fight against them! Even that whole system is supported by the police as they are often part of it!

Shame on all the ones who are responsible of suffering children!

Once again on and on it goes , fn pedophile teacher and pathetic Junta dictatorship military police, education system have let Thailand down in a spiral decline of morality , corruption abuse of power, Junta are more concerned about bars, than widespread underage sexual abuse and other abuses,Thailand's international image is beyond repair ,,,

So, she's a minor, under 15, and he'll marry her just to keep from going to prison on a child rape charge.  What a country! lol
