Along with a few other posters, I also find the selling of Nazi memorabilia in very bad taste. But the seller is doing this to make money and probably has no idea of the Nazi history.

Buyers of these items will either be Thai (and they also are likely to be ignorant of Nazi history), or right-wing, European fascists who either know the history very well, or have a warped view of that history.

The police won't stop the guy selling these items. But kudos to the Frenchman for making the police aware that some foreign tourists find their display and sale to be in bad taste.

The buyers are often Arabs who worship Hitler.  The guy who complained was Thai yet he did not complain about imperial Japanese items. History is History.  No kudos to the time wasting complainant. There are REAL issues that need to be addressed linked to evil politics right here right now....I would give kudos to this jerk if he campaigned for democracy and anti militaryism..in the present day. Pathetic gesture gesture politics.

Shouldn't the rational focus be on the immorality, not the illegality, of what's on sale?

Perhaps you are looking at it as a foreigner, but the only nationality to take into account here is Thai. Thais don't think it's immoral. Geddit?
