A monk has finally been arrested for the rape of a woman in Sakon Nakhorn seven years ago.

He said he was drunk, saw a woman and wanted sex.

Arrested on a warrant at a temple in Chumphae, Khon Kaen yesterday was "Luang Phee" Satawat Janthawong, 27.

Back in 2011 in Phangkhon district he had been drinking with friends when a woman passed. He followed her to her room and raped her before disappearing.

He ordained into the monkhood and hid out at a temple.

He admitted what he had done saying that he felt the need for sex with the woman after drinking alcohol. So he raped her.

He was defrocked and taken back to Phangkhon in Sakon Nakhorn and charged with rape.

Please tell me those kneeling down are not policemen serving an arrest warrant.

Hard to believe, isn't it?

And he is from being a top rank monk.

Religions that expect abstinence from their priests should instead require the sharp cut as part of the ordination :annoyed:

Monks need some time off too. They are human afterall.

He raped before he became a monk.

Ofcourse, monks and priests are human but if they cannot control their sexual desires, they shouldn't become monks or priests. Or they should have their testicles removed before they join the holy cows, just to be on the safe side. Amen.
