HHTel
Thai bomb disposal experts are really well protected......!! Reminds me of a story some years ago when a bomb was found in a house. A policeman held up the bomb for a photo shoot and was blown to smithereens!

Reminds me of a story some years ago when a bomb was found in a house. A policeman held up the bomb for a photo shoot and was blown to smithereens! About 8 or 9 years ago when Thailand in general was on bomb alert someone left his briefcase on a table outside a shop near to my home... Bomb experts came and took a look.... no sniffer device or even a dog he just walked around the briefcase then walked back to his car & made a call.. by then onlookers had arrived both sides of the soi & in the road not more than 20 meters from the shop., also watching from windows above. Soon a friend of his arrived, open his boot & took out 3 used car tyres.. one was put on the seat next to the table, the other two on the ground below the seat... I was intrigues as to what was going to happen.... but had a feeling it wasn't going to be very professional so I moved well away... I was correct, he tied a piece of string to the briefcase handle, walked 5 meters across the soi & stood behind a tree.. then pulled the briefcase off the table to watch it fall to the ground !!!!! It didn't make the news as it wasn't a bomb, but could you have imagined if it was... he would have blown up the shop & killed or injured at least 100 people who were gathered in close proximity watching!!! Amazing Thailand!!!!!
rwdrwdrwd
When I was living in Bangkok a couple of years back, there was a load of 4am noise right outside my house which was two doors away from a middle eastern embassy connected building. Turns out someone had left a suitcase right outside my wall about 5 metres from my bedroom, a guard had reported it and the police had come out and taped off the road. Guess how the police solved it? A - Woke everyone within close proximity up and evacuated them. B - Waited for specialists to arrive. C - Tied it to the back of a pickup truck with a long rope and then dragged it off down the street.
observer90210
Instead of submarines or satelites, they should rather fit out their boys with this !! But I definately would not like to do the calwalk in the outfit, under the local climate !!
