johnny1966
I will be getting a new passport in the next 3 to 6 months. How do I go about transferring a non immigrant visa based on retirement into the new passport? Thanks.
elviajero
If you have an extension of stay based on retirement you can get the permit (stamp) transferred to the new passport at your local immigrantion office.
KhunBENQ
They will create a big separate stamp with: old passport nr., issue and validity date date and port of last entry, visa type expiry date of last extension Then recreate an entry stamp as in your current passport. Then recreate the extension stamp. A lengthy procedure. Two pages in the new passport. My embassy added a letter of confirmation for the new passport unasked. I don't know whether immigration is really interested to see? Edited June 22, 2018 by KhunBENQ
bkk6060
I just did it at Chonburi. Go in with both passports. There is a form to fill out. I came back the next day for pick up. Very easy.

Chonburi requested the letter from my embassy.
