webfact
Warning stickers placed on Krabi mud crab sculpture By Kritsada Mueanhawong Eight warning stickers have been placed on the Mud Crab Sculpture in Krabi to discourage tourists climbing on the sculpture in the future. Last week four more tourists were caught climbing all over the Krabi landmark – the Mud Crab Sculpture. Krabi Tourist Police are tracking down the tour company that was in control of the tourists that were filmed climbing on the sculpture. This follows the Chinese tour group, two days earlier, climbing all over the popular sculptures as well. Yesterday (July 2) Krabi’s City Mayor, Keerasak Pukhaoluan and his team, placed warning signs in three languages – Thai, Chinese and English – around the sculpture. The signs state that ‘Don’t climb…If violated 2,000 baht fine’.
