webfact Posted July 4, 2018 Share Posted July 4, 2018 Big Joke announces more arrests in Malaysia call center case Picture: Spring News A further ten call center suspects comprising eight Thais and two Taiwanese nationals were taken into custody at the Thai/Malaysian at Sadao yesterday. Springnews said that they were handed over by Malaysian authorities and taken to national Thai polce HQ. They relate to the busting of a call center operation on June 5th. Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal who has been central to the smashing of call center gangs both in Thailand and abroad said that one of those in custody was a ringleader called "Bang Dam". Picture: Spring News Leader of the scam Chern Huan Khai was still on the run. The Maj Gen said that some of the suspects have admitted their guilt while others deny it, as is their right. All have been charged with fraud. Victims are spread across several countries, reported Springnews.
