NanLaew
Pepper, specifically ground white pepper was the radiator fixer for dad's Standard Vanguard with the Massey-Ferguson engine. Someone mentioned sawdust but never see that uses in radiators but it worked a charm in granda's Ford Prefect. When it got hard to select a gear, put regular engine oil in the gearbox. When it started jumping out of hear, add sawdust... ad infinitum. However, it never worked on his Hillman Minx... the one he brush repainted with leftover red and cream Dulux Household emulsion one hot summer day.
