Lots of Ads - Delays for those with ad blockers Enforcement of rules too strict Removal of daily News Broadcast Removal of weekly opinion pieces Infusion of more 'anti-Thai' stories Infusion of 'left-wing' stories (anyone see a positive story about Trump?) Pandering to a minority of Users Failure to remove trolls - some seem to be 'protected' Lots of apparently deliberately provocative news stories Very few positive news stories and items Enforcement of a narrow view of Thai and World events Discouragement of opposing views and opinions Failure to gain new members Failure to keep old members Other forums far more lenient and easier to use Just my opinion/s. Sorry to inform you, but... Bad news is usually what makes news, whether in Thailand or elsewhere. A bus from Bangkok to Udon arriving safely with 40 passengers onboard doesn't make news. A bus from Udon to Bangkok that crashes enroute and kills everyone onboard makes news. Sorry if that spoils your day. Still, I do share some of your concerns. But every time I start thinking that the current ThaiVisa isn't quite the same forum I knew years ago, I just start thinking and salivating over what the next Dan column will be... When other posters see many such people disappear into the void they are less likely to have an affinity to post and so the forum loses its momentum. As has happened here with gusto it would seem. Many posters post a lot but even more just probably read or move on. Although the forum is free to us it is actually a commercial enterprise, unlike others.. Over the years there has been a vast increase in Internet stuff that folk are now dabbling in, including me..This increase will affect many forums... Moderators cannot be in every thread concurrently, so we appreciate people taking the time to help us make the forum a better place for everyone.
