Plus keeping the Queen waiting as he was late.... and then there was lack of a courteous bow and courtesy by Melania. Was there no protocol briefing?

Yes there was a protocol briefing.

But like most things Trump, he chose to go it his own way.

Some things you just dont do..

Even Trump's wife walks behind him.

You dont sit in Winston Churchill's chair.

You dont arrive late.

You dont go ahead of the Queen.

You bow, or courtsy as the case might be.

Nothing to do with royalist or not.

Its common respect and good manners..

Something that he sadly lacks.

Off with his head...

The queen is head of state and so is Trump. They are equal and he does not have to bow to her.

He was there to inspect the troops, she wasn’t donthat she was just accompanying him.

So he made a mistake and stood in front of her. No big deal

Wrong on two points.

He was briefed or his minders were on

Royal protocol.

Do's and don'ts.

The main part of his trip was to do a promotional job for his golf course that's losing millions in Scotland.

Hilarious.
First you say you don't like him.
Then you go on a rant about the reasons that you do support him.
Just own it for Christ's sake.
We see this so often here.
Obvious Putin poodle supporters that fake not being one.
I get it.
It's a shameful and embarrassing thing to support.

Every four years there is a vote. It is a binary choice. No I don’t like Mr. Trump but his vulgarity will be outlived. I could not possibly imagine the damage that could have been done if Hillary Rodham Clinton had been able to push two more left wing idealogues to the Supreme Court. Sinister figures in Black robes to legislate from the bench!

The Constitution will be sustained for at least the next 50 years, thanks to Trump, and the US will thus remain as a beacon for freedom and Democracy around the world in the meantime the British Monarchy will likely be abolished anyway.

The concept of immigrants, homeless, unemployed sucking the teat of the government is blown out of proportion. Most people who use gov't services get off it as soon as they can.
Do people cheat, yes.
Do many people need it yes.
It is the responsibility of a civilized society to help its downtrodden.
The US mentality that any socialist policy is nasty, will result in the US never having a universal healthcare plan like the rest of the civilized world.

I give money to bums on the street, my own choice and also contribute to charities If you want your government to pick your pocket to pay for people who refuse to work and Foreigners who have no right to even be in your country my personal opinion is no way I think that is stupid.

Good luck with healthcare unless you are rich.

One thing for sure the British people came out in force both in England and Scotland to show the great president what the people of this little bitty island think of him.

Thank god that the idiot as gone,

I wonder how long it will be before his golf clubs are up for sale.

Most don't refuse to work. Many have mental health issues or other reasons. Most immigrants enter the job market.

You just view anyone with darker skin as the enemy.

Obama is a nice guy. I despise his policies. He was respectful to the British Monarch and others. His announced successor Hillary Clinton is corrupted, much much worse and self serving.

Trump is a vulgarian man child with no manners who insults 92 year old Queen England and also the other foreign Potentates. I support his policies.

Who should I vote for?

Everyone on welfare is scamming right?

It's that attitude which will result in the US never having universal healthcare.

If that's what you want, so be it.

Everyone is just looking for gaffes and it might have been a small mistake but what's the problem?  someone get killed?  small protocol problems are common when you come from a republic to a monarchy

Other presidents from other republics show protocol, so why not him.

There have been reports that during the visit to Windsor Castle the President broke

I thought the next word there was going to be "wind" for a moment. In which case, definitely disrespectful...

Seems to have been disrespect from both sides.

Where was Phil?

Where was Charles?

Where was Will?

Where was Harry?

Where was Anne?

Where was Andy?

Where was Edward?

Looks like the Royal's got their snubs in too. Good for them. That would have bothered the hell out of his ego. Now please Brits dispose of Mayhem for inviting this cretan in the first place.

What a stupid comment, obviously you are ignorant of the facts, as previous American presidents have bowed to the Queen.

Now i await you saying i am wrong, if you do i will have to name the presidents who have done so.

Who cares what they did in the past. From Obama until the present date, for nearly 10 years, they have not bowed and I hope the trend continues. It's pointless talking about what presidents used to do - times are changing. They are finally waking up and casting out old (bad) habits.

I can think of one reason. He's not a wimp who blindly follows tired, antiquated traditions. Someone sometime has to end all this nonsense. Well done Trump!

Don't know if you are a Brit but the monarchy’s annual contribution to the UK economy is to be around £1.8bn a year.

OK, so you're putting up with all the pomp and ceremony just for the money. Fair enough.

Actually it was a honor to the royals to get visited by the Trumps.

Why else they would invite him?

And the anti - Trump protests are not only disrespectful against Trump, but also against the queen.

However, that's the UK. They can do what they find appropriate. Good luck.

Tropo, you have quoted that reply completely out of context.

It was a reply to someone who stated that the Royal family are freeloaders and leeches.

The Queen has enormous wealth in her own right, and pays taxes on her incomes. She is 92 years old and still working hard for her country.

I think she deserves some respect.

Excuse me? Why should the president of the United States bow to the insignificant Queen of England. Why do you guys even have a queen, isn't that quite outdated? What role does she play in the world as a whole? Sure I would bow to her just out of respect but not if I was the leader of the free world. It should be the other way around.

I'm sorry if I lost context. I haven't read the entire 14 pages. Sure she deserves some respect. She gets a whole lot of respect from most people and she got respect from Trump too. It's all the nitpickers that are complaining. I doubt the Queen herself felt disrespected. I'm sure it wasn't the first time someone was walking in the wrong place during an inspection. The only difference here is that the person walking was Trump. People are constantly looking for anything they can to bring him down.
